Beautiful design inside & out, Quattro is safe in snow w/snow tires, interior easy to clean

Unwanted surprises, 'gas economy' is an oxymoron, poor depreciation, expensive w/options, nav system

My husband does no know I am writing this review but felt obligated to. With our 2009 A4 not even 3 weeks old, my husband and I just returned unhappy from the dealer to have the climate controls replaced after the AC came on and decided to blow cold air instead of heat. Additionally, my husband noticed the transmission is "slipping" and told the service manager at the dealer to inspect it along with the gas mileage. We rarely see above 15.3 MPG as the display shows so something may be wrong.

Otherwise we like the look of the car. It drives nice compared to our Honda Accord and the interior is superior to most cars. The price can be expensive with options as ours started at $30,100 and when we were finished the priced ended up at $49,309. Not a good value. I just checked the depreciation rates and saw that it ranks near the bottom of the list and it loses value as fast as Hyundai.

We just got our second snow here in NY and purchased snow tires. The quattro system works great and makes me feel safe. The kids already spilled soda on the back seats and it cleaned up easily. I like that. That being said, I would not recommend the Audi A4. Regards, Karen...read morehide

Smooth power from V6. Handles well especially at higher speeds. Ipod hook up. Looks great from front

Could be cheaper or have drive select standard on V6. Steering a little light at low speeds

I had an '06 2.0T and waited 6 months for the '09 V6. It was worth the wait.

Pros

Fun car to drive. Very fast and sporty. Turns a lot of heads.

Cons

a bit rough to drive in the city, it's definetly a highway car that can fly

first couple of gears from 0- 25 are a bit rough, other than that, the car drives great. The LED lights turns heads and people are going to stare, get used to it. Negotiate well, because the price for this car is only going to up because of demand for them. I just picked mine up in the last week of November and I love it. Keeping an eye on the Turbo though, I know the previous models had some issues....read morehide

This is the best car I've owned under $40,000. It has everything you need -- but you may want to stay away from the base model. They have the best lease going right now -- sign and drive and they make your first payment. Everyone loves my car -- some of my staff actually think I'm pretty smart now --I would much rather own an new 2009 Audi than a BMW that looks just like everyone's else....read morehide

We needed a station wagon. We checked out the models BMW, Volvo and Saab offer and concluded the Audi A4 Quattro Avant is far superior to all of them. It's a very modern car that looks truly beautiful and drives almost like a sports car. Ours has the prestige package with most options, including the 14 speaker B&O surround sound sytem (better than many so called "high end" home sound systems) and very useful rear view parking camera. It has i-pod dock, bluetooth, and a good (not great) GPS. We strongly recommend this car to anyone looking for a crossover or station wagon....read morehide

This car has it all. Style, Speed, Handling, & Class. Happy to report everything works. Got mine Loaded with Prestige Package. The 505 watt B & O audio system is remarkable. Very comfortable seating. Bluetooth actually works with my Motorola phone. Read the Manual as there are so many bells and whistles some might feel overwelmed. I can't say enough good about this car. Move Way Over BMW... Audi has passed you by in Time Warp. It doesen't get any better than this....read morehide
