2009 Audi A6 3.0T

Great looking in/out. Usable power, long distance cruiser, handles impressively.

Not as solid feeling as a Merc.

This is a great alternative to the 4.2L V8. The 3.0T is lighter than the V8 and makes the car feel more nimble. The power comes on quick and doesn't let up. Truly a competitor to the BMW 535i. Between this and the BMW, the Audi has a much nicer look to it and a larger trunk. The 21 gallon tank gives it a HUGE driving range and its comfortable as long as you avoid the attractive 19" wheel package, which makes the car a bit harsh and tire noise is noticeable. Those wanting the updated MMI system should get a 2010 A6 (out now). Navigation along with other conveniences come with the Prestige model which starts at around $55k. Not many options so it will stay under $60k. Seriously consider a Mercedes E350 while looking at this, while the E350 is no where near as fast/sporty, you can get many options that you simply can't get elsewhere. Between the three German sedans(Audi, BMW, Merc), you really won't be dissapointed with any of them. This is the first time that I'm not sure which one is my favorite.
