Purchased As Used
This has been the best car I have had so far.Last car I owned was a 5 series BMW and I loved that car also. I love the way it looks, and the interior is outstanding as far as the details and craftsmanship. So far the car as been very dependable. Maintenance is more though,but I expected that...it's worth it....read morehide

Purchased As Used
I bought this car used with 27,000 miles on it. Have put about 20k more on it. I have had no problems with it - none. Brake job recently and other than that, I've changed the oil. I don't like sitting at the dealer for 2 hours while they change the oil, but apparently changing the oil easily wasn't a big concern when it was designed. It's a small issue. Maintenance is pricey - like $80 for an oil change - brakes cost several times what I'm use to, but, this is a higher end vehicle and I guess if you can afford the car you can afford the maintenance. Purchased As Not Purchased
As a driver of an '06 Mercedes E320 CDI I reall want to get a new bigger sedan. But I've grown to love diesels and their long range of drivability and bundles of torque. I read a European review of the TDI A8 and it can go over 600 miles on a tank!!! Even more ridiculous is that Top Gear went 800 MILES on a tank!!! That's incredible! But alas its not offered here... BUT the gasoline A8's have to be near or at the top of its class. Its aged well and doesn't give into trends. It does admittedly need a refresh with more power to stay with the competition but nonetheless it won't ever leave you wanting more. I respect the A8 more-so than a Bentley Flying Spur or BMW 750Li. It does what they do(and looks better doing it) without trying. I'd buy the TDI in a heartbeat if they offered it....read morehide
