I have to counter the review of the '04 A8 Quatro. My baby runs like a sewing machine and is that quiet. I guess I won't be complaining about time in the shop, because my sales rep does offer valet loaner service. When the car needs to go to the shop, he comes to my house with his car and leaves it as long as mine is being repaired. Have needed nothing but couple of tweaks so far. 40,000 miles coming up soon. That should put to the test my confidence in my dealer and his techs.
The lesson in these two reviews is - don't, repeat, DO NOT, buy ANY car new. Let some other guy take the loss on resale value and make all the adjustments any new machine needs. My car was a fleet vehicle, obviously reserved for the top execs, so it was in perfect shape when I bought it..
AND despite the high performance, I have avoided any moving violations so far.
