Both my wife and I enjoyed driving it so much that 6 months after we bought our Q7 we bought another one. ...Then we did not have to relearn the complicated electronic commands for GPS, radio, parking, etc again!Great family car!

As a previous BMW X5 owner, to me there is very little comparison with overal car performance. I love this vehicle. I purchased a preowned 2007 4.2. Very comfortable.
Honestly, I miss the BMX maintainance program but if you befriend your local dealer service mngr, you can become a very satisfied customer. If you're looking for luxery and sport, consider the Audi Q7....read morehide

We have a 2007 Q& 4.2 with the s line package. It is a nice looking car, i think so everytime I see it sitting in the audi dealers repair lot. The tires need to be replaced every 15,000 miles at $500/tire. The EPC light is continuously on which cuts the power output from the engine to prevent possible damage yet the dealer can find nothing wrong despite 7 tries at it. The brakes have sounded like nails across a chalk board since 2000 miles. All in all, I have had this thing at the dealer over 20 times in 2 years excluding scheduled maintenance. And the vehicle is horrible in snow even without the 21 inch wheels. You do not get what you pay for with the Q7. I woud buy a Ford Explorer (actually 4 of them for the cost) before I would buy another Audi....read morehide

My parents rented this vehicle for a long time due to the fact that one of our vehicles was being repaired. Even though I am only fourteen, I drive very well, I drove this vehicle and realised it wasn't bad at all, however, my entire family agreed that it was very normal, meaning it had no light to it, it was no match for the likes of vehicles such as the unprecedented Lexus LX 570. I will say that it was still a good car and I would recommend it to anyone, althought the LX 570 by Lexus is a much better buy....read morehide

After being happy in Volvo for 15 yrs. I thought I would try something different. I love this q7. No real problems to speak of, Tires 36k, brakes 30k, 10k beyond volvo. Rear hatch has let loose 2 or three times. Five stars.

This vehicle has had numerous problems and represents a huge inconvienence to own. From fuel sensor problems(out of service 6 weeks), to annoying rattles in the dash, the number of issues is just shocking. Dealer has been supportive, however, in fixing the vehicle. The ride is very rough on less-than perfect roads. I too have vibrations in the front wheels. You just don't get these problems with a Lexus (but then, you don't get the superb European handling either)...read morehide

i bought my 2008 q7 off the showroom floor end of oct 2008. The dealership has had it more that i have. One week after having it the sunroof switch didnt work and the tires weren't balanced. Ater taking it in to get it fixed..two hubcaps fell off and broke. My first oil change..they didnt tighten the oil filter and oil leaked out for three days..they had to tow it. Then the battery has went dead countless times. They tried to blame us the first time but when it happened again, and again they kept it at the dealership for two weeks to figure it out. About a week later..u guessed it! They now have my car and if they dont find me a comperable vehicle..ill be getting an infinity qx56...read morehide

The Q7 is not a BMW X5 rival, I looked at both thinking they're similar in terms of performance, space, and comfort. But the Audi doesn't feel near as nimble as the BMW and the BMW doesn't have the creature comforts of the Audi (nor the size). The Audi does feel solid and confident, but its not a sports car. That's not a bad thing, the Q7 is better suited for long distance traveling at high speeds in supreme comfort. The Mercedes Benz GL and R Class are the only cars that I'd compare to the Audi. I like the Audi's styling, its very futuristic and sporty. The interior is just beautiful. The Alcantara headliner is a nice touch and the seats are extremely comfortable (but are a bit firm). The layout is like that of the A8 and it can be had with the same flawless Bang and Oluffsen 1100 watt stereo system. I skipped out on the S Line package because that would deteriorate ride quality, and the Audi felt compsed even without it. Its easy to pass cars on a mountain in this car with is beefy V8. You never forget that you're driving an Escalade sized German SUV though. I love this car because it's more practical and luxurious than the BMW, yet sportier than a GL450 or Lexus LX570. Its price tag was pushing close to $85,000 so its definitely no steal, but it does reward you with a great ride....read morehide
