Love it, really a drivers car. If you want to connect with the road, BMW is the only car. I have a 2005 545i sport, awesome performance...great acceleration, amazing handling, comfortable and stable on the road no matter what the driving condition.
I have owned infiniti and acura before and while those are great cars and a better overall value, this BMW (my first) is the most fun to drive of any car I have owned.
Plenty has been written about the iDrive, so I won't go on here. Newer model years have updated software and interface that is much more intuitive and user-friendly. Only other thing I would say is you don't buy this car based on iDrive and cup holders. If slick nav softward and cup holders are important, but something else, this car is built to be pushed into corners and accelerated out.
I am concerned about the reliability, mine is now out of warranty. BMW does offer extended warranties and service plans. Have had a couple problems but all were covered under warranty....read morehide
