The e89 (2009+ Z4) is an amazing car, pure and simple. I feel it is miles ahead of the e85 (2003-2008 z4) in terms of ride characteristics and looks. The three sport modes make noticeable changes to the ride dynamic and the N54 (twin-turbo 3.0 liter engine) puts the car right up with the M version of the e85. The 7 speed double clutch transmission yields quicker shifts than a manual and creates one of the best exhaust notes from a 6-cylinder engine during shifts. I think they hit this one on the head and am happy they raised the price point of the car further separating it from the lesser competition. The sticker climbs quick as the options are added and will put the car at $70K+ loaded. Compares to a Boxster S, although the Boxster S is still a better handling car. Will be a head turner for years to come.
