This is a great car!!! It is ultra-quiet, has an exceptional ride, and loads of power (3.6 DI engine). In addition, the Bose sound system is tremendous, the car is packed with technology, and the seats fit like a soft glove.

Michellin tires and small trunk

Purchased the car new August 29, 2008. The car has a great ride (when the nylon tires are not cold) and really great paint job, fit and trim. I can't say enough good things about the car. The only problem was that two of the Michelin tires were out of round. The Michelin dealer had to get three tires to get two good ones. I do have to say that Michelin did stand behind their product with no hassle from them. The trunk is too small for long trips. I love the car and I have no regrets for buying and I would buy one again....read morehide

Overall appearance was great with leather, wood trim, pop up navigation and overall styling of the vehicle. I was disappointed with the inconsistant gap tolerances, especially the gap between the driver side door and the dash. It was at least three times the width of the tolerance on the passanger side. I have the car for two weeks, Obviously I haven't even had a chance for something to go wrong. The car is so solid it is like it was carved out of a single block of steel. The car is extremely comfortable and handles corners like a mountain goat.Very quiet; very smooth. I have owned my for close to a year and cannot believe anyone has a problem with this car. It rides as it should, better than most similar, good gas mileage, quality car. I have 13,000 miles and not one problem! Have two friends that say they will trade their Beamers for one this year. The CTS has a great exterior from the trim to the paint, underneath that I'm less excited about. Starting at around 11,000 miles the CTS would light the check engine light randomly and more frequently right at a cold start - it would go dark randomly. Those times it stayed lit the dealer found codes for a number of different problems related to ignition control, misfires, and exhaust gas flow and catalytic converter function. Sometime the code was legitimate and required the dealer to fix the problem and sometimes the dealer found the code was spurious. This problem continues and is really bothersome. The best advice the service dept had was to buy an OGM-II code reader check the codes, write them down, and reset the check engine light each time it comes on. If the light keeps coming back on and the codes are the same, then bring it in, otherwise just keep resetting the system. This is really not the way a Cadillac should be and the dealer won't do anything because the service department is not sure what is causing the check engine light to keep coming on randomly. It is very embarrassing to have a client in the car and have the check engine light come on (or to have it left on from the day before) and the client asks whether it is safe to drive and you have to explain this to them. I've written to Cadillac customer service and cc'ed the marketing department hoping they will intervene with the dealer and come up with a solution to this nagging problem. If they can't solve it, I'm getting rid of this and going back to the Lexus I had before which never gave me any problems and I could rely on. It is sad to see this type of glitch in the Cadillac family. My dad used to own Cadillacs and they used to be good quality and when a problem arose the dealer made sure you were happy and resolved the problem. Perhaps they should include an OGM-II code reader as a standard feature and a dash button to reset the check engine light....read morehide

Great looking fun and reactive car. The pick up is awesome, the Bose system is great and overall just a fun great looking car. BTW there are some awesome deals on this car now!!
