I purchased my 2009 Cadillac CTS in October 2008, since then my car has been in the dealership 11 times. It has been in 5 times alone for the squeaky brakes. Brakes squeak, driver seat squeaks, air vent for driver side is blocked by steering wheel, bluetooth doesnt work, peices of the door have fallen off twice, have already had to replace rotars and brake pads. All Cadillac Customer Service does is say how sorry they are. Yeah Im sorry also. Sorry that I am out $40,000.00 on a car that is a lemon....read morehide

Owned Audi/Volvo for three decades and have been very happy, but wanted to buy one from Big 3 because of concerns for the US auto industry and especially their employees (I'm not involved in any way in this industry). Would not consider a car without AWD and really wanted Onstar for safety reasons. Did not know what to expect ride-wise, but have been pleased so-far. I'm not an expert, but really like what I have experienced to date (2 months) in the CTS. Bought everything that came factory-installed. Very appealing, very peppy, very nice trim, and no complaints with the ride or the braking capabilities. Obviously, somewhat early, but I have a good feeling about this car....read morehide

Looked at all the cars in the mid 30's to mid 40's and this IS the car. IMO the engineering, fit and finish, styling, and drivability of this car beats all imports. Only Volvo offers the AWD and I found it to be totally average inside and out not to mention the pricey repairs if something should go wrong. Which leads me to Cadillac's 5 year/100000 mile warranty! My car was a 43K dollar plus car that I got for under 37K (dealer invoice plus 3000 gm cash back). At that price it has all the bells and whistles you could ask for except navigation, but the car comes with a year of free Onstar which includes turn by turn nav and is displayed in the car on an lcd in the center console! Most comfortable rear seats of the cars in it's class that I looked at. With three passengers in the rear seat however, the middle person will hit their head on the roof if they are taller than 6 feet. Bluetooth for cell phone users is awesome and it has the little things like an input for an ipod.
I have the wood trim option and it really trims out the car beautifully....read morehide

I just bought this car and I can't say enough good things about it. I traded in my '05 CTS and this car is a whole different car. I am a tall and big man and I have plenty of leg room and head room in the car. Everything is better about it. I will keep this car for a long time. I don't know if it can get any better....read morehide

We love this car! The acceleration is amazing. It looks beautiful and handles great. It can fit two booster seats in the back, and room for a third child in the middle. It has a big trunk, and plenty on leg room throughout. Sometimes the nav screen will not pop up right away after starting the engine, also it will blank out and reset. Also the directions are not always correct. The headlights are great. They actually turn in the direction that you turn the steering wheel. The remote start is nice (works well over 100' away), and the key less feature lets you leave your keys in your purse or pocket. No more hunting with full hands to find your keys. Overall this has been a no regret purchase, and I would love to own another!...read morehide

This is now my second Cadillac. My first was an '07 Escalade which replaced my Infiniti QX56. The Escalade was superior over the QX56 and impressed me so much that when I decided to trade in a BMW 528i, I put the CTS on my shopping list and compared it with several other cars- the new Audi A4/A6, BMW 535i, Mercedes E350/C350, Acura RL, VW Passat and Infiniti M35. None of them offered the value or driving dynamics of the CTS, with the exception of the BMW 535i which is an excellent drivers car. Then you see the price of the BMW 535i- $61,220 and you say "thanks but no thanks."
So far I have 11k miles and no major problems. I did have to replace a sport tire which ran $260 (for just one tire!) after hitting a small pot hole in NY. The other problem was the battery on the keyfob already died and the keyfob lost memory or malufunctioned. Nevertheless, the dealer gave me a new keyfob for free. The dealer service is excellent. They always trown in a free wash and oil change.
I often see 19.2 MPG city and 28.3 highway. I have seen 31 MPG on the highway if I take it easy at about 60 MPH with the cruise set but I like to travel at 75-80 which I find comfortable and I have to say this car slips through the wind at even 100MPH. Quite and stable.
The engine is silky smooth and powerful. Ditto transmission. Smooth shofting all the time- unlike my BMW 528i which had a replaced trans at 7k miles and always shifted roughly.
The interior is top notch. Superior in design to the Mercedes and BMW and Infiniti. Good quality. Retracting nav screen is nice touch. Bright and easy on my eyes. No absurd iDrive here. Just easy to use controls. I have downloaded 300+ songs from my iPod into the HDD hard drive. I have room for 10000 songs. Great system.
Overall. a very satisfied customer. Two Cadillacs in a row says something for I never even thought I would buy a Cadillac to begin with over a BMW or Mercedes. Now, the choice is clear. Good Luck!...read morehide
