i love this car more importantly MY WIFE LOVES THIS CAR i waas going to get the XF-R but as the dealer said when he saw the smile on my face after i cranked it he KNEW he had a sale. it wants you to drive faster that is why there is a cruise control so you dont lose your license. just cannot find a fault except the tank size. it is comfortable easy to drive - wife likes that - black is the only colour. people either get out of its way or just look and that exhaust note - i never get to hear it as i just cannot stop driving it. i have played with every button except the traction control and saving that for when we need new tyres cos it is going to lay some rubber down.my onlyt question is whats better about the 2010 cant improve much on the 09...read morehide

I traded a 06 CTS- V in on this one. Nothing keeps up with it even for 20K more money. The only other car I considered was the C 63 AMG. It was not as fast or comfortable.

I test drove this car today with the plan on purchasing very soon. I already own a cadillac which I love. The car impressed me more than expected. The car is extremely powerful and responsive and the car looks great. There's no question I'll get this car in the near future. I'm a Cadillac customer for life....read morehide

I have owned this car for one week. I test drove the BMW 335i Coupe, BMW 535(?), Lincoln MKS, Cadillac STS, Escalade, and Yukon XL. This one won on having manual, the driving experience, and the power.
The first day driving to work (50 miles one way) I paniced. I used 1/2 tank of gas. By Friday I got it to 1/4 - which is what I expected. I drove slower and less agressive. It is not a problem at all because the ride is just delightful. GM has really thought of every detail. The radio controls, navigation, voice recognition, OnStar... all work seemlessly. The seat even goes all the way back, which is wonderful for tall people.
I did not know what kind of vehicle I wanted. When I drove this car and I was sold. The driving experience is unmatch. If you are in the market for cars in this price range, be sure to drive this one last....read morehide

I love this car. The performance of the CTS-V is second to none, yet it is most definitely the most comfortable car I've driven as well. It has load of tech which, being a Geek, I appreciate.
When I was trying to determine my car purchase, about 6 months of test driving and research, I initially wanted economy as a major component. After sitting down with a calculator, an old maxim my dad used to say definitely rang true for me, "gas is one of the cheapest costs of any car." I drive about 15,000 miles a year and compared to my previous car (2006 GTI) which got 28MPG the CTS-V is getting 17MPG. That equates to about $1,300 a year if gas is at $4 a gallon. Considering the car costs 70,000 plus out the door...does that really make a big difference. To some it may, and may I suggest if it does, you shouldn't be buying any $70K car....read morehide

I just purchased the 09' CTS-V in Black. I can't say enough about this car. It is without a doubt the best car I have ever owned.
Anyone who says American iron can't compete has not driven this car. The power this car has will blow your mind. It honestly has no equal at even twice the price. The closest car that I have driven to the CTS-V is the Bentley, which cost $200,000.00.
I would definitely recommend this car if you have the need for speed. Buy American!...read morehide

The best (and last) gasoline powered automobile I will buy. Without a doubt the most powerful, fastest, and slickest looking 4 door production sedan in the world - bar none! I too drove one up at the race track at Monicello, NY. That drive convinced me that I had to have one. Truly, it is nothing short of a 4 door ZR-1 Corvette. This is what Detroit steel should be all about. The "V" stands for VELOCITY, by the way. Great work Cadillac and GM....read morehide

Test drive it , you will love it. An excellent combination of speed and luxury. Once I test drove this car the decision was easy, for the price nothing comes close. I was considering the normal options of BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Lexus but found I would need to pay at least 20K more for a similar package.
The performance is amazing, forget the 550+ horsepower, what makes this car so incredible is the torque and range of the torque. 550+ pounds of torque and it seems to be available through the entire RPM range. No matter what speed you are driving, step on the gas and you will know you are driving a performance automobile. Combine that with excellent handling and the car is a blast to drive.
Navigation system and interior is also very good. Only area I am not super happy is the seats. I have the standard seats and would rate them as good but not excellent. Perhaps the performance seats are better....read morehide

I have driven this car on a track and the power this car generates is UNBELIEVABLE!
Anyone who has something bad to say about this car either; a) hasn't driven one or; b) is biased towards other brands.
Gas mileage? come on ! It's a supercharged 6.2 liter engine, what did you expect? I'm not concerned with gas mileage if I'm buying a car with a supercharged Corvette engine...
Handling is superb. The magnetic ride is as smooth as silk, and with the push of a button transforms the handling from luxury to LETHAL!
Fit and finish from General Motors has definitely improved over the years, and this model is a great example of refinement. Close your eyes and feel the interior and you'd swear you were in a German car.
Go see one in person and your opinion of American cars will be changed forever!...read morehide
