I am disappointed with the seats, the radio and inside noise caused by banging and creaking of the seats and top. I am considering getting rid of this car.

First Vette was a 2004 C5. This car (2008) has several improvements from my C5 including less interior noise while driving and improved interior build quality. Both of these areas could still use more improvement. Also, cannot get the top to stop creaking and popping - this is really annoying!
Now with that said, I love every other aspect of this car. My vechile has the atomic orange exterior with chrome Z-06 style wheels. A real head-turner.
The performance in both acceleration and handling is awesome. Still one of the best values in high performance sports cars out there today....read morehide

I have had my Corvette for a couple of months now and I love it. The style and power offered by the Corvette for the purchase price is incredible. The interior really needs to be improved though. The interior components are cheap and there are too many rattles and creaks. The biggest surprise is the car?s fuel economy we are getting 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway....read morehide

I really like my vette. But, its not as fast as many reviewers here, claim it to be. I have two other clunkers(with superchargers). They make the vette feel tame. But its a very good car.

Great car. Bought my first Vette (64 Coupe 327/365) in 1967 and still have it. This new one has cold A/C and rides soooo much smoother. It still gets that envious look from others and the 430 HP with 6-speed manual shuts down anything ( except Z06 and ZR's ).
Blue paint is a real eye-catcher. And 45 years later...they are still babe magnets!!...read morehide

I purchased this car used about 2 years ago and can't say anything bad about it. This is my 5th sports car convertible, and the best by far. Before you ask, I was 34 when I got the car.
When you buy the Vette, you don't just buy a car but instead purchase rights into an exclusive club. Each Vette you pass by will wave and smile as they too are part of the club.
The LT3 I have is fully loaded with everything except a power top (adds too much weight and why would the top be up?) and auto transmission (you HAVE to drive the 6 speed manual or why bother?). It's fast, handles extremely well, and gets over 35 MPG on the freeway at a steady 80mph.
While the interior is not up to the levels my wife's 530i is, it's far better than the other cars in this group. The Boxster interior is a joke, the BMW Z Roadster (my wife had this but traded for the 530i as she liked the Vette more) is boring, and the Audi TT is just plain too small.
Cars considered before we purchased this car:
BMW M Roadster (had it, sold it to get this one)
Porsche Boxster S (horrid interior, expensive upkeep)
Auti TT (too small, I am well over 6 foot tall)
Cars Owned:
Chevy Corvette Convertible LT3 with HUD and Z51 handling, 6 speed manual transmission, Victory Red with black top.
BMW 530i (for family stuff)
Ford Expedition (to haul around the newbord)
Cons:
The only real cons are the price of Super Unleaded (Super is not required, but it's over 400 hp so why skimp?), the dealer services, and you have to be careful not to scrape the front of the car on low surfaces. None of those are deal breakers and easily dealt with. Oh, and the price of run flat tires when you melt through your first set.
Pros:
Performance, price, handling, fuel economy, upkeep costs are low, and the best looking car on the block....read morehide

I have owned several Corvettes dating back to one I was given as a graduation present in 1967 when I left college (327-350). This is by far the smoothest and best on the open road. I always get red and drive them on Old 66 in their first year. This car will not be a disappointment to anyone. Choose your power and go. In the world of Supercars even the LT-4 at 100K+ is a real bargain. Not for me because I don't drive that hard but if you gotta have it why not?...read morehide

I picked up a year end deal on a black on black 2008 corvette coupe. The financing and price combination made it very difficult to walk away from. The interior is nice from previous years - the power is incredible - the 2008 430 hp version just simply anhilates just about everything else on the road. I am 32 and just about everyone I've seen around town driving these things is old - which is a travesty - this car was made for younger people and to be allowed to run free, if you will. Not to be driven like an old lady in a buick. No need for the Z06 or the ZR1 unless you're rich - the standard Vette will get you thrown in prison .4 seconds slower than the 40+k more expensive versions........read morehide

This is without a doubt the best car I have ever owned. Around town it is as smooth and docile as a Cadillac, absorbing every bump and dip with the aplomb of a luxury car. I have the F55 suspension, which has state-of-the-art shocks that are designed to give the car a kind of "floaty" sensation, while at the same time making sure you have a feel for the road beneath you. The cabin is spacious, I am 6'3" and there is plenty of room for me, I can even change clothes in the car. While the car is small, the cargo area is huge. Fit and finish are wonderful, it's not covered with acres of leather but do you really want that in a supercar that you can drive every day, because basically that's what this car is. The gauges are clear and bright, the HVAC and radio controls are simple and easy to use, the seat controls are intuitive, even the wipers perform flawlessly in the worst rainstorm. Every detail of this car has been so thoughtfully engineered and constructed for today's demanding driver that it completely blows out of the water your memories of the cramped, unreliable corvettes of the 80s. Chevrolet knew what they were doing when they took the Corvette and turned it into a rocket-powered luxury sports car. It deserves all the accolades it has received.
Driving this car is amazing, just touch the accelerator with your big toe and you're off and running, the car just begs for more. The steering is light and perfect, while giving great road feedback. The wheels are enormous and make the car appear like a go-cart. The styling is eye-catching, the car is filled with razor-sharp edges that soften into parabola-like curves, a theme that repeats on the interior as well. The HID headlights give outstanding visibility at night.
About the handling: the frame rails are made of a single piece of metal, that is bent into the required shape using powerful jets of water...as a result, there is absolutely no body flex at all, the car rides rock-solid on the worst roads or the most curvy mountain run. The engine bay is simple and beautiful.
Dollar for dollar, you simply won't find this combination of luxury and power in any other car. I have had this car for six months and everything about it is about 99% perfect. What do I dislike about it? Well the Bose stereo is a little weak, I am disappointed that here it is 2009 and Chevrolet still can't put a decent-sounding stereo in the Corvette. Our company car is a 2000 Mazda minivan and the stereo sounds better in that car! Also, the power windows are auto-down but not auto-up, hello? And there is some road noise when you drive on the highway but this isn't a Lexus, it's a sports car. These are minor complaints though and I am very very happy with this car, it's still far and away the best car I have ever owned in my life....read morehide
