My husband and I started looking for a new SUV/crossover to replace our older vehicle. We looked at several foreign and domestic vehicles. We were beginning to think we would not find something that had everything we wanted. Strong performance, good looks, third-row seating, comfort especially on long trips, not to mention an extra or two, like sunroof and dvd entertainment. We had tried one a few months earlier, but decided to give it a second look because the first dealership didn't do it justice. The second time around at a different dealership was all it took, not to mention the great deal we were offered. We drove it home that day. We love it! We have had a lot of compliments about it. Most did not realize how nice the vehicle was because they have never had a close up look at one. Chevy really has a great vehicle here. It has everything we needed and wanted. An extra is Onstar. I am still amazed at what all it does. Great vehicle, Chevrolet!...read morehide

We test drove and researched many SUV's and crossovers and this one by far was the best for us. I love the look and the larger sized tires. We have 3000 miles on it already and just bought it in March. The receiver for towing is discreetly hide behind a panel below the license plate that is easy to pop in and out and we tow our 19" boat with no problems. (We normally use our truck but had to try out the towing capabilities). Our three year old girl enjoys being able to climb in and out on her own. An awesome car that handles great on the highway and is family friendly....read morehide

I, like many of you looking at the Traverse compared it to the Pilot and Highlander. Each car has its positives and negatives, but when everything boils down I think the Traverse has the edge...not to mention smoking deals courtesy of GM.
The appearance is, in my opinion, the best of the four GM vehicles based on the Lambda platform. On top of that, its the most economical. I think Chevy really hit a good note with the dash design. Its easy on the eye and clearly leaps and bounds above their previous attempts.
I have been a loyal VW owner up to now and I can say where the Traverse still lags is with the choices of internal plastics/cloth. Compared to those of VW/Toyota the Traverse lags behind. The cloth is rough like cheap toilet paper and the plastic is hard and some mold lines are clearly visible.
Performance on the other hand earns the Traverse and A+. Real world fuel economy averages 20mpg for me, similar to the Pilot and Highlander....but with 10-20 more hp and torque.
Its no secret that GM is in a world of hurt right now, and there are plenty of deals to be had. This SUV is a true competitor with the Pilot and Highlander. Add in unheard of incentives and the choice was clear Honda and Toyota wouldn't (and couldn't beat it).
Overall its a great car and a clear indication of the new direction of GM. Thank goodness they got rid of the Trailblazer!...read morehide
