I owned it for about 6 months now. It is nice if I drive it around like a car but as soon as I want to haul something heavy or pull a heavy load its weaknesses shine threw. I want my rusty old Ford back!

This is the last GM product I'll ever buy. This thing lacks power, has sloppy steering and overall is another overated chevy truck.

4X4 doesn't work well at all! this truck will get stuck in a puddle. I got stuck with my avalanche in 1 foot of snow, yes 1 foot of snow. I think its because the 4X4 isnt the best and also the trucks front bumper sits kind of low to the ground. Engine could use a little more get up and go. Gas mileage is ok. Tow ratings aren't the best either but it will tow what I need it to....read morehide

Bought this truck at a great deal! Little rough around the edges. Doesn't tow a whole lot but then again this is a city truck. Rides like a car on road but a little rough off-road. Doesnt seem to handle off road very much. Interior is disapointing, pretty cheap interior that GM is known for.

I love the truck because I can lock up my tools and they stay dry in all kinds of weather. The top over the bed is great does not freese up and keeps everything very dry. Nice ride and looks great. Got it in red and have had many comments how great it looks.

I bought a 2002 Avalanche 1/2 ton but it didnt have what it takes to pull my horse trailer to shows so I traded it on a new 2002 3/4 ton Avalanche. I LOVED IT!!! It had tons of power with a 8.1 liter engine! Tons of room in the front and back seat. My husband talked me into trading it this spring for a GMC 2500 extended cab Pickup ... I hate it! It is not comparable to the Avalanche in any way including comfort, power, looks... I would trade for another Avalanche today if they made them in 3/4 ton , why did they quit making it? I miss my Avalanche :(...read morehide

I purchased my 07 Avalanche in Feb 07, and after 2 years I just love it. The ride, gas mileage, storage... it's all good. My wife even likes driving this. It's NOT a pick-up, but an SUV with an open bed instead of covered like the Suburban. So filling it up with 2 x 4s is really not recommended. But for my use as a truck to haul stuff around, go on trips, etc.. it's great. The perfect vehicle for either a ski trip or a trip to the beach, as you can put your items in the protected back bed and keep the snow or sand out of the rest of the vehicle....read morehide

I bought a 2002 new from the dealer in Oct. 2001 and have put 137,000 miles on it without a problem. Normal oil changes and service, when called for, and the only things replaced so far have been the brakes and two sets of tires. No breakdowns, no re-occurring problems, no dealer issues. It has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. I only hope the next one is this good....read morehide

I've had it for the last 6 years and still runs like new. I make sure I have it maintained because I just love this truck. I want it last forever. The looks, its performance and gas milleage since i travel to LAS every month. The engine is conditioned to long driving its gas mileage performance even in city driving is economical.I can never compare it to any other truck....read morehide
