After my lease on my 2005 Silverado was up, I knew my next truck would be another Silverado. I traded in my 2005 5.3L 2WD Crew Cab for a 2009 5.3L 2WD Crew Cab Texas Edition. The new six speed transmission is different to get used to. Amazing ground clearance; nice and high! Gas mileage is iffy...On my old truck a 250 mile road trip took me approximately half a tank...on this new one the same road trip eats through 3/4 tank. I'm hoping the results get better as time goes on. As of now I'm averaging 15.1 MPG with 3000 miles on the odometer. A lot of great features like bluetooth, six CD changer and a lot more make this truck stand out from the rest. Standard OnStar is a real neat feature. All in all, this truck hauls major....you know what. Lots of power and exceptional Chevy quality make this truck a good buy.
