I highly recommend Silverados. They are dependable and actually carry stuff. If you need a long bed and room for more passengers, there are Silverados for that, too.

This is the second GM pick up that I have owned and they are by far the better looking trucks on the road. Ford is close but not close enough. I just purchased a Texas Edition LT1 Chevy about 5 months ago and it's been great on everything from power to gas milage.

this is my second truck, before this I had a 2005 F250 lariat powerstroke disel..and although these two trucks are not compariable in many ways such as it was a disel and i got like 8mpg on it, i would have to say for its class i would go with the Siverado, the Fords are way more overpriced for what you are getting, the ride is a bit more rough than chevy, the new look for the F150 sucks and mpg wise fords are terrible compared to the chevys! i have never been a fan of the other makers such as dodge and toyota so i would not recommend those..especially toyota, i just cant see myself buying a foreign truck! Overall if you want a good reliable truck that you can almost steal from the dealer pricewise right now, i got mine out the door for 26,000...sticker price is around 31,000 (not including tax and licenses)...chevrolet is the way to go....read morehide

Purchased new to replace a small SUV. I drove most all on test drives, and liked the Chevy. The price was amazing compared to the Ford. I have drove to St. Loius and Eastern Iowa a bunch from Omaha. Very nice ride. I would recomend a KN filter and a set of more agressive tires. I get about 18mpg, 17.5 pulling my boat from southern Missouri to Omaha. So far I am happy with Chevy, my wife wants her own now....read morehide

After my lease on my 2005 Silverado was up, I knew my next truck would be another Silverado. I traded in my 2005 5.3L 2WD Crew Cab for a 2009 5.3L 2WD Crew Cab Texas Edition. The new six speed transmission is different to get used to. Amazing ground clearance; nice and high! Gas mileage is iffy...On my old truck a 250 mile road trip took me approximately half a tank...on this new one the same road trip eats through 3/4 tank. I'm hoping the results get better as time goes on. As of now I'm averaging 15.1 MPG with 3000 miles on the odometer. A lot of great features like bluetooth, six CD changer and a lot more make this truck stand out from the rest. Standard OnStar is a real neat feature. All in all, this truck hauls major....you know what. Lots of power and exceptional Chevy quality make this truck a good buy....read morehide

I love my truck!! All the power and looks you could want in a truck! I have own other trucks (Dodge & Ford), though the ford was nice, the Chevy has everything. I have a silverado 2001 outside that is paid for with over 150k on it. That truck has never broken down and still pulls just as strong as the first day I bought it. Also still hold resale value....read morehide

I went down to my local dealer to get a service for my 2003 chevy, I took a walk around the lot and a black silverado caught my eye. I thought that there was no way they could build a better truck than my '03... I was wrong. It was by far the nicest truck I have ever driven, and with the rebates and financing I feel like I stole it. The only complaint that I have is that it doesn't drive itself. My V-8 5.3 liter gets an average of 16.5 mpg. The freeway is around 22mpg(if you drive the speed limit on cruise control)...read morehide

My first Chevy after many Fords. I love this truck! The traction system almost negates the need for 4wd, even here in WI.
I get a real 17 MPG, more on highway. Quiet, handles good, plenty of power.
I have the 2007 LT 4door.
