Purchased As New
Just purchased the 2500 LTZ - 4 x 4 - went with the gasoline versus Duramax Diesel - my towing requirements are light (6,000 - 8,000 lbs of infrequent towing); if heavier, go with the diesel which is where diesel really shines. Otherwise save the $8,000. Drove the Duramax and it is very impressive, good low end power, noise abates quickly after warmed up.
The Silverado is way out in front of the Ford and Dodge counterparts -better ride, nicer interior, and equal or better capacity. LTZ with few or any added options gives you a very nice interior, leather seats, nice radio, seat heaters, etc., without the really expensive navigation, rear screens, etc. By the time you get the LT package with a few goodies, you're better off getting the LTZ with few or any added options.
After first week, no remorse at all, glad I went with the Chevy.
