bought it new - top of the line - and love everything about it. live in south Florida and have the top down all the time. i have a white interior with soft leather and satelite radio/navigation/traffic. the hard-top goes up/down in 20 seconds. no wind noise. solid feel. dont have to worry about the top being cut into or rotting. the engine runs smooth and has plenty of power. its not a sports car, thats for sure. the BMW 3-series convertible is a rocket comparatively, but this cars cruises sooo much better. this is a car you could drive cross-country and enjoy it. my wife drives the BMW and we would never take it for a long drive. your butt and back hurt after an hour long drive. but, i have to say her car is more fun on the curves. I am very glad I bought this car. I know the resale is low on it, though. I can't figure out why the car has such bad ratings from magazine reviewers. I truly love mine. I compared it to the Pontiac G6, Mustang, and Toyota Camry convertibles. I like the Sebring much more. Very solid feel, relaxing drive, more comfortable interior, and liked the interior layout more....read morehide

Car handles great and is so comfy. Love the hard top convertible. Have a '99 convertible and this car handles like a Mercedes compared to that.

I have a 2008 Sebring Convertiable bought it used and have no complaints. Much value considering the price. I get many compliments on apperance. The top is completely automatic no clamps to tighten it down no boot covers...all taken care of when top is opened. The gas millage is as good or better then any economy car and lots of front seat room.Car has over 22,000 miles and absoultely no problems. Feels much larger then it is. Car is almost 4000lbs and rides like a dream. American cars have greatly improved..and this vehicle proves that....read morehide

I LIVE IN SCOTLAND UK.I BOUGHT THIS CAR LAST MONTH
MY SEBRING IS A UK SPEC 2.0 DIESEL LIMITED CABRIOLET WITH A FABRIC ROOF.
I HAVE READ A LOT OF REVIEWS ON THIS CAR AND THE SALOON HERE IN UK ,IT DIDNT GET VERY GOOD REPORTS
THEY SEEM TO GO FOR THE EUROPEAN CARS MAINLY THE VW EOS AND SOME OTHER SMALL EUROPEAN HARD TOPS
WELL I HAVE OWNED A VW EOS PREVIOUS TO THE SEBRING
I FOUND IT HAD WATER LEAKS IN THE BOOT,THE ROOF CREAKED,THE STEERING SHUDDERED WHEN IT HIT ROUGH ROAD OR BUMPS ON A CORNER
I KNOW OTHER OWNERS OF OTHER EUROPEAN HARD TOPS HAD WATER LEAKS AND STEERING SHUDDER PROBLEMS SO WHEN I WAS LOOKING TO CHANGE MY CAR I DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO GO FOR
I CHECKED OUT THE SEBRING ,READ REPORTS,AND DECIDED TO GO FOR THE SEBRING
WELL NOW DRIVING THE SEBRING IS GREAT
NO STEERING SHUDDER ,NO LEAKS
I GET 45 TO 50 MPG PER GALLON OF DIESEL- REALLY GOOD FOR THE SIZE OF CAR
,IT,S GOT PLENTY OF POWER , YOU GET SOME DIESEL NOISE WHEN IDLING BUT ON THE ROAD ITS QUIET .
IT,S NOT A SPORTS CAR BUT 45-50MPG SUITS ME
IT,S NOT A SLOW CAR EITHER
ITS GOT A LOT OF ROOM INSIDE AND GOOD LEG ROOM FOR REAR PASSENGERS
I LIKE DRIVING WITH THE ROOF DOWN AS IT HAS A GOOD HEATER AND HEATED SEATS SO THAT ALSO ALLOWS ME TO HAVE THE ROOF DOWN EVEN IN NOT SO GOOD WEATHER.
SO I WOULD SAY THE SEBRING,S A GOOD CAR TO DRIVE AND
OWN AND I ENJOY DRIVING IT....read morehide

I pruchased a 2006 used convertable with 24,000 miles as a second vechicle for my wife and I . We have had the car for a year now and really enjoy it. It gives us reasonably good gas mileage and is a 'fun car' for us to tool around in with the top down. We are both retired and drive it a limited amount of time. So far, no problems with anything on the car....read morehide

I was looking for a genuine four seater at a reasonable price. VW Eoswas then out of the game as well as G6, as well as Saab and Volvo. The Toyota Solara was best alternative to the Sebring but I did not like the shaking of the car on bad pavement, the zero rear visibility and old top technology (engine and transmission were more refined than the Sebring 2.7 V6 though).
I was then directed to the Sebring limited but the price did not fit in my budget and I went to the touring trim. The comfort is very good. Adults can easily seat in the rear. Cheap plastics are the only negative but you get used to it!I had leather installed which improves the comfy feeling Road handling is good but this is a cruiser not a sport car.I find the chassis very rigid for a convertible which make the ride very nice even on bad roads ( I live in Quebec ). The car feels underpowered with the 2.7 liter in some conditions and relatively noisy for a V6 but it is not an real annoyance. The 4 speed transmission is dated but you still get low revs at 60 mph. I like the roof system and so far I had no problem with it. I went to a high pressured water car wash but no leak....read morehide

This is my third Sebring convertible, I have not had troble with this car- it's sleek and cozy in the winter months.
The car is tight -no rattles even at 35,000 miles.
When asked about my sebrings, I always tell them it's great,
never had any problems with the 3 I've owned.
A great looking car....read morehide

This is an outstanding car for the money. Be careful not to judge the Sebring (and especially the convertible) by the least expensive models. The Limited is not even the same car (handling, comfort, finish, styling) as the others. The 3.5L 6-speed is a very smooth and responsive drivetrain that offers an incredible note when the top is down. The suspension (with Electronic Stability Control) is complaint and smooth, but not too soft. This car feels nimble and small in town and large and stable on the highway; a nice compromise!
I tested and drove everything before buying, and nothing else came close. The VW Eos is small and cramped, the Mustang is powerful but tiny and jolting, the Toyota Solara is dated and noisy, and the Pontiac G6 shakes and rattles like it was put together in a high school shop class (the G6 is junk). The best comparison to the Limited is the Volvo C70 Hardtop, which is a very nice car but MUCH more expensive to purchase and maintain.
In it's nicest (and admittedly most expensive) trim, the Sebring Convertible (Limited Hardtop) is beautifully designed. The interior is comfortable, functional, and consistent, and the exterior has a classy, upscale appearance. The car includes a number of thoughtful features, including an amazing MYGIG A/V Nav system with bluetooth phone connect, heated power leather seats, a tilting and telescoping steering column, a rear windscreen, a heated and cooled cupholder remote start, and more. I was disappointed with the cheap sunvisors, but that's a small complaint.
The Pininfarina-designed hardtop is an outstanding piece of engineering. The top raises and lowers smoothly in less than 1/2 minute (I've dropped it at traffic lights on numerous occasions) with the push of a button or the press of a keyfob. I have raised and lowered mine so many times I can't count them, and it has never even hiccuped. When the top is up, the car is quieter than most sedans. When the top is down, it is joy (and there is still enough trunk space left for a golf bag).
This car is not for everyone, I suppose. If you are looking for a sports-car, look somewhere else. If you want a simple sedan, get a Chevy Malibu or Toyota Camry. If you want to spend your money on pure luxury, go for a Mercedes of BMW. If you want a cutesy "chick-vertible," get the little Eos or settle for less space and get a Miata (great little car). The Sebring Convertible has some "flaws" that I would call great compromises. If you are looking for a very nice, reasonably priced hardtop convertible that looks great, drives well, is very comfortable, and can carry four and their luggage reasonably, this is your car. After owning it for one year and driving it 50k miles, I recommend it highly, and I wish someone had written this review for me before I looked elsewhere!...read morehide

I have had my 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible since July of 2008. I purchased it as a "certified new" being promised that it was just as good as new, but its just as good as waste of my hard earned money. This car has been the biggest regret and disapoinment, as being serviced for over 40 problems and counting. Many problems have been with the windows not shutting or opening( 4 times), trunk popping open on the highway( 2 times), top not going down or opening. It needed a a new lifter on 11/19 which is un-heard of in a new car with such low miles. On 1/2/09 it needed a new radiator because it was leaking and there was no heat in the middle of winter. Today i came out of the store and the windows were half way down again for no reason. I have to call again tomorrow morning because of the current problems with the windows going down, which as a 23 year old woman that is not only a safety issue but things could get stolen out of my car. Chrysler has done nothing to help with the situation and ignoring my complaints and request for help getting rid of this dangerous undependable car. The dealership wants nothing to do with me anymore and they said they have never seen so many problems with a new car, and they have no answers for the issues. The extended warranty guarantees me a car everytime my car but the dealership i purchased this car from gives me a very hard time and tries to deny me the right every time i bring it in which has been over 14 times. Last time they said "they were only doing it to be nice to me at the time" If you are going to buy this car (please dont!) research it as much as possible so you dont walk into the night mare that has been on my shoulders for the past 7 months!...read morehide
