I have always owned Toyota's until I bought this van. Never again will I buy a Dodge. I have 20,000 miles on my can and I've had to replace front brake pads and rotors twice, rear brakes and rotors once, replaced the tires already. This is rediculous. DO NOT BUY THIS VAN.

I had a '97 sport 3.3L/4 speed since it was new - traded it in with 160K under cash for clunkers. Never a real problem with it other than front brakes (later solved when i switched to ceramics) OK power, not a rocket.
Wound up buying the 4.0 out of state, drove it home on mostly interstate - babying it along the way. At the end of the trip - it just turned 500 miles - so I got on it merging onto the expressway - all I can say is that my wife & I turned to each other and said WOW! We just had no clue that this van would sound so sweet accelerating through its gears! Someone even made a youtube video of it (google caravan sxt acceleration mpgomatic)
MyGig is a cool entertainment system. You can play different videos/music/radio on all the screens. Two channel wireless headphones keep the kids quiet & tuned into their own stuff. The navigation system works extremely well - you can interact with everything via voice commands....read morehide

I have owned 3 of the body types of the Dodge Caravan, I've owned a 1995(used), a 2005(new lease) and now I have a 2008(lease as well). First thing I MUST SAY I financed through Chrysler and they got me out of the 2005 to the 2008 w/o any hassle. I loved that smooth transaction.
The van gets better in time. I love it sooooo much that I bought one for my mom(used). I LOVE the MY GIG infosystem it is a touch screen radio with a Hard drive to store songs and pictures. It is sooo much better than a satellite radio, you are the DJ. My playlist vary from Christmas, R&B, Gospel, Kid music, 90's music... so I can listen to whatever I'm in the mood for. I have the swivel seats with the table. OMG THE KIDS LOVE THIS! The caravan is for the entire family so it is important that everyone loves it, especially the kids. I purchased headrest DVD's and there is an outlet for them that turns off when the van turns off. There is an outlet to charge your phone that stays powered even when the car is off so your phone can continue to charge. There are outlets in the BACK that are awesome for a tail gate party, you can watch a portable TV. The stow and go lays down FLAT, so you can move things like in a pick up. There is plenty of room and the middle row slides up, so you can realistically fit 7 ADULTS IN THIS VAN. I am a marching band mom, and I can fit kids, and instruments in there. Also there is a cup holder for everyone in my van. My mom's van has the cool feature of the rear window letting down, and she has a regular radio, which still has a Sirius satellite radio system. However different the two vans are, it remains the same, reliable, safe, drives smooth, great mileage (even with low grade gas), comfortable, starts every time, and the service warranty - wow it is cool to have a lifetime power train, because something did mess up after 30,000 on my mom's used van but the warranty was transferable so she was able to not only find out WHY her check engine light was on but get it repaired at no cost to her. As others testifies my breaks shake too, maybe if we complain enough we can get a recall. Other than that. I LOVE IT!!!...read morehide

We are leasing this from GSA at work. Nice van but the ESP and BAS lights up and a few minutes after that it will ocasionally honk the horn by itself. Already brought it to the dealer and they replaced something. It still did the same thing and we will now bring it back to the dealer to be checked out again....read morehide

This is the first time i have written a review of a car online. I find it interesting that the town and country minivan is rated higher the then dodge caravan, they are identical cars, built in the same factory.
We bought our Grand Caravan SXT from a dealer that lost its franchise. We got a GREAT deal. Our only concern was quality. Seems, the brakes were updated on the 09's, so hopefully that won't be an issue.
We have had this car for one month with about 1k miles. It has been perfect (which it should be). My wife and kids love the satellite radio. The sto n go seating is great. Dual power doors and power hatch are great. The fit and finish seems good.
So far, very happy with the purchase. I will update this review in six months....read morehide

The van started to vibrate when you apply the brakes with 7,000 Miles on it. Dealer said it had good pads. I took it to a brake shop, the rotors were turned, new pads were put on. The same thing happen again after 12,700 miles. I think they should have used a different rotor. Love the stow-and-go seats....read morehide

Have the SXT with the 4.0L. Got the tow package. This vehicle is way beyond our 95 Grand Caravan. This vehicle rides like a luxury vehicle, has tons of power when needed, and is such a pleasure to drive. As a past engineer for Chrysler in Michigan, they just keep making these vehicles better and better. I had always owned GM's before I worked for Chrysler and swore I would never own another. In 86 I had purchased a new Buick Grand National, turbo charger went, dealer would not replace, radio died, radiator died, paint started peeling and this is all within 2 years of ownership! And GM would not fix a thing! I sold the car with 28000 miles for $2500....read morehide

I have had this minivan 7 months and is great. I have had lots of minivans and vans since the 60's and they have all benn Chrysler, Plymouth, And Dodge. I love the take off power it has and headlights and fog lights make it so pretty and bright at night even tho the Chrysler Town & Country has brighter headlights than Dodge Grand Caravan there are both good and bright! The ride is so soft its like your floting in mid air. We have took this minivan to The Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee 5 hours from home and we had 5 people and 2 teens all rideing in here and also took it to Myrtle Beach SC 4 hours from home and drove all the way there after midnight and had 4 people rideing in it and every one had a great ride there and back . The stow In Go is great and everythig else the seats offer is great too. the touch screen raido is great and also you can upload your own pictures from your camera and there is so much more to say and if your like me where the seat your sitting in has to be layed back then the back seat is great is sits down deep so its like your laying back a good bit. So befor you buy anney other minivan than just drive the Chrysler Town & Country or the Dodge Grand Caravan and you will love it all around!...read morehide
