My wife said that she was not going to drive a truck!! I asked her after her first drive how did she like the truck !! She gave me a funny look & said its not a truck ! I had to get all the paperwork to
prove my point , that it was indeed a Truck!! This Dodge Nitro R/T
gets great milage , excellent performance with this V-6 & 260 Hp.
it will run with the big boys !! The ride is smooth , the seata are very comfortable , plenty of Head & Leg room !! & all the controls are so
easy to reach & My wife just loves the slide out in back , it makes it so easy for her to load things !! ( She Loves Her Truck ) HEE HEE

We bought our 08 nitro new. Have 8k miles on it without any problems. My wife loves the nitro and so does everybody who sees it The red paint and the interior are flawless. We would buy this suv again. I use 4x4 for snow, not dirt.We are averaging 20 mpg in everyday driving. Amazing value for the money for such a solid car....read morehide

This is a great little SUV. It is easy to maneuver and drives very smooth. It is also a very safe vehicle. I was rear ended by an 18-wheeler doing 40-50 mph and was slammed into another vehicle. Though my car had nearly $10,000 worth of damage, it was on the under carriage and front and rear bumpers. My daughter sustained a scratch and though I received a severe neck injury, it could have been so much worse. I would highly recommend it. rough ride indeed. I think the emergency lights are misplaced.

You practically have to look for the emergency lights button when you want to use it. And for what they are meant for, I think is not proper location at all. Except for the bumby ride, I am happy. I cannot say much about the ride as I cant compare with other SUVs or 4x4s.

Due to gas mileage and a bad transmission, I traded in a Ram for a Nitro. I was worried about being upside down on the Ram but the dealership worked with me and got me a great deal on a '09 fully loaded Nitro. So far I have not had any problems. Adfter 17 months this is still a blast to drive, and with actual mpg about 20 highway you can run with the other preformance suv;s any day.

Rough ride indeed. Took it back for dealer shop to check the shocks or struts. Continues rough.

Has to be the worst car ever. Engine misses, lack of power, rough ride, A/C leaked and flooded passenger and back passenger foot sections. Carpet masked flooding until water went into my shoes, car smelled of mold. Shop said A/C drain installed backwards. Driver's side plastic seat molding broke. Seat belt trapped my daughter in back seat, had to cut seat belt with knife cause she could not breathe. Air bag light keeps going off and on, shop unable to fix. Not sure what is triggering alarm. Will never ever buy another Nitro. On a positive note, we liked the Nitro look. And that is the only positive thing we can say about it. Sorry. '07...read morehide

Ride is smooth and it turns on a dime. I got a great deal from Bossier. 2007 for $16,000.00 like new still. The 2007 has the black fenders and bumpers wich really makes the Nitro durable for country driving and road construction areas. I don't worry so much in a parking lot as the possible damage another "parker" can do is reduced now....read morehide

I really like this vehicle. Currently getting about 23 - 24 mpg with the 4.0 L V-6. Firm ride, do feel the bumps more but that's to be expected with the short wheel base. Absolutely love the "Uconnect" feature and the built in GPS. I like the sporty, tough look of the SUV. Hope to "drive the wheels off of it"!...read morehide

I bought my nitro new. After looking one over and thinking about it for awhile, finally traded in the Ford Mustang for my nitro. I love this vehicle. I have lot's of head room with plenty of room inside. Even with the leather seats, as long as you use a window sun screen when sitting in the parking lot, getting in the vehicle it still felt cooler inside, at least you think it would be boiling inside. Plenty of passing power. Suspension is a little stiff, but then again, it's a 4X4, you should expect that....read morehide
