2009 RAM TRX 4x2 Cream White and Metallic Gray lower moldings and fender flares) I am a former Toyota owner and subsequently only bought Nissans and Toyotas in the past. I went online and found this model which was new for 2009 called the TRX in the 1500 lineup. I liked the fact it has a two tone paint treatment and fender flares which looks sporty and not mundane like a LOT OF TRUCKS. I test drove it and it handles predictably even on bumpy roads. HOWEVER, it bounces around a bit on back roads and I saw the traction light come on once letting me know I had some wheel spin. But on rain slickened roads even while taking some sharp turns, the Electronic Stability Program(ESP for short and aka traction control) never let the back tires spin. To test my theory, I stomped on the gas on a wet parking lot and it did not spin out whatsover, great job Chrysler !. The standard 4.7 liter V8 seemed a bit more robust and responsive in this model as compared to my friend's 08 RAM 1500 SLT 4x2. I went on a 300 mile road trip last weekend and averaged 22 MPG on the highway according to the standard trip computer. I didn't gun it and pass everyone, just kept it between 65-70 MPH with the cruise engaged. On another note, the transmission does shift on point with little delay and feels refined even with heavy throttle. I have a lot of co-workers who admittadly say this truck looks sharp despite the fact they are F150 ,Tundra and Chevy fans. Had two Dodge owners ask me at the traffic light,"Where did you get that man !?" I've had it for a week and thoroughly enjoy driving this beast ! Also take note people if you have a family, get the Crew Cab over the Quad Cab. Entry and Exit of your rear passengers will be a breeze instead of a chore. The rear legroom is very decent in the Crew Cab for a 6 foot guy like me WITH my driver's seat set to my preferences. A little cramped with the Quad Cab. All in all, a refreshingly looking truck that will turn heads even from 'hooked up Dodge Truck drivers. Cool ... (-:
