the most incredible car for its price ever. EVER. It is comfortable, has power, 35-40 on the highway, killer stereo, plus its got the pimped out ambient lighting. It blows the competition away!

I think its quite a car,did not think much of the sync, but i do now. accels smoothly and fast for a small family car. most features, such as auto door locks work the way they should, the radio and required lights remaining on after key off. our son 6'4" 240 lbs gets in and out with ease,he had rented one for a month before we bought ours.we asked how did you get in and out of that small car and he said I dunno but it was fine. it seems the seats are exactly the height they should be.we have 2 other cars and you have to fall down into the seats.and getting out is tough on our old knees, the height of these(focus) seats are perfect for us.Ambient lighting is quite an idea....read morehide

I'm so happy with my SEL sedan. After 8500 miles, it's fun to drive, the SYNC is awesome and I don't have any real big complaints. I bought a black SEL, and with the leather seats and the dark color, it looks like a much more expensive car both from a distance and when you are sitting in it. I don't understand the mediocre reviews. I wanted a small, reliable, affordable car that was made in the USA by a US car company that would be reliable, fun to drive, and have good tech features for my ipod and bluetooth phone. This was easily the best choice for me, and I don't regret it one bit. I actually still can't believe how little I paid for this car after considering all that I got...read morehide

Bought this car through a myriad of offers and specials to a 11k cash deal... out the door.
A perfect car for my 60m daily round trip to work and back with a 29 mpg average after 2500 miles. (still have the F250 power stroke for the toys hippies :) )
Sync is AWESOME and makes my teenager jealous that I have it in my car not his....
Great buy, nice car from a solid non-government owned American manufacturer....read morehide

I`m six foot two,and I feel great in this neat package of a car,as I said before dashboard is confusing, but not bad once you learn where everything is.

I get 35 mpg combine driving but mostly city.My wife thinks it's more comfortable that the new buick but for me I would much rather drive the buick but it's good for a small car.On long trips I'll still take the buick. It has pretty good pick up.I don't think you could go wrong buying the focus.I have not had any problems to see how the dealer is.It's American made which gives work for our own people.I had problem with toyota warranty back in 2006 with the camry so I only buy American.I would buy it again....read morehide

I am 6'1" and fit well in this car with a sunroof, and seat is comfortable, occasionally a little narrow, but I have thin pad for on bottom (cut the back off), in case I feel uncomfortable. Some trips does not bother me, and others half the trip. Short trips never bother me. I have the black interior, and what works well in 90 plus weather is a dash cover from RZ's Custom Dash Covers on ebay. It is light grey and does not get near as hot as the black dash, and you can throw it in the trunk. I have white blanket for rear seat and window but have not needed to use. Air conditioning is adequate for this size car, any bigger would cut down on engine MPG and performance. Car has responsive transmission, just have to touch the gas peddle after going around a corner, and then rest your foot to go, and more if faster after that.
I have had no problems or recalls. In the beginning it missed once when running at idle, but that was long ago, and could have been bad gas. Not as smooth as my V6 in another car, but OK. One time ran up and down slightly in very hot weather at idle at a store, but never did it again. It was not the air conditioning either, it was more rapid.
Great car for running around and long distance. It is quiet on the sides, but there is mechanical ringing slightly on bumpy roads from below. That may be a bad description of it! And some road noise from below, but not bad compared to Honda which sounds like they have no floor. Brakes can be noisy when wet like after you wash the car, or when first use, but then goes away. I use clip for seatbelt on long trips cause tight, but all cars are tight today for safety. I shouldn't, but do sometimes, up by the top near door.
It is fun to drive, and great value, feels like a big car, and looks big in the back compared to most small cars. SE is smoother than SES, but SES handles better. I drove both. Both blow around more in the wind, like a big car I had, but to be expected because of its shape and size. You learn to compensate for it like old big cars. A lower, wider car like my other one, goes better in the wind, but no big deal.
Only needs a light by rear seat on 2008, and spare tire as standard instead of option. I bought parts and put spare in. Look at new Focus with spare in it as option, to see how it goes. Tires work well on snow and are all season type. I am BF Goodrich person and will replace someday, which may be more quiet. Oil change is easy and I put synthetic in, and Mobil One filter. Much better heat in winter than my Honda had, but not as quick as V6 in my other car. Very cold weather keep low until hot, and if at idle a lot. When running faster and engine working, it gives more heat and you can keep higher (very cold weather).
Good value! Looks like electric car in front! Great safety rating!...read morehide

Get 39 mpg on highway with auto! The A/C will blast you out of the car in a few minutes even when the temp is in the mid 90's! It also handles very well. Trade your clunker in for one, you wont be disappointed.

This is the best car I have owned. I get 40 mpg with my manual 5 speed, which is great. I traded my Honda Civic for this American built car and will never buy a import again. I recommend this car to anyone that wants to have a fun little car that gets great gas mileage.

I traded in my truck (18MPG) and now I'm getting 36MPG. She handles well and has some get up and go in her. The only complaints would be for the AC to be lot colder and the visors really need some improvement.
