I have owned this car since new and it has been fantastic. Over 10,000 miles and not one repair needed. The 4 cylinder has plenty of get up and go when mated to the 5 speed manual transmission. The car is very comfortable to drive and averages 26mpg in mixed driving. The Fusion is probably the best vehicle purchase decision that I have ever made....read morehide

As a former Toyota owner, I must say I test drove a Camry and an Accord first. I never thought I would choose a Ford over Toyota or Honda but after discovering the Fusion not only had an excellent safety and reliability track record but also cost thousands less it almost had me at hello. I was able to get a manual trans along with many other options (the blue suede package was worth every penny and included 18" wheels and ambient lighting to boot). I have owned it for just over 6 months and it is still a true joy to own and drive anywhere. The controls are easily accessible and well lit. Visibility is superb. Cornering and handling is even better than in my Trans Am. I have had five adults (including myself) fit and ride in this car with plenty of leg and head room. Comfortable seats, little to no engine noise, sync, Sirius satellite, 6 disc CD mp3, auxiliary input, and USB make the Fusion one of if not the best cars to take on trips. Few if any full-size sedans I know of get 27-33 mpg and I'm sure the 2010 with a 6 speed does even better.
I am more than impressed with the Fusion and can only think of a couple possible improvements--offering a 6 speed manual is now available in 2010 models. I would like to see an outside temperature reading and the third eye brake light relocated so it does not block light to the day/night sensors on the rear view mirror. For everything else Ford did so right this design flaw is very minor in my opinion.
Some say this is the car that saved the Ford Motor Company. I would agree and recommend anybody thinking of buying a Camry or Accord give this car a test drive and serious consideration. I'm so glad I did....read morehide

I drive the 2008 Fusion last year as a rental car for a week, didn't want to have to give it back..lol. I vowed to buy myself one one day. Just brought it home yesterday. I wanted the 2010 due to the sportier look, but as I was touring the car lot I saw a 2009 and an unbelievable price and it looked like it wanted to come home with me :-). Gorgeous color, I have never been one for white cars but this is the white platinum which costs 495 more for the color but wow so worth it. So far I get 28 mpg which is fine with me. I love the handling..this car is fun to drive :-)...read morehide

I've had my 2009 Ford Fusion for a couple of weeks now, and I really love it! I recently traded in my Chevy Cobalt, and was looking for something comperable when I went to the Ford dealership. I test drove the Focus, but I absolutely hated it! It was uncomfortable, tiny, and the it looked like the interior was trying just a bit to hard too look hip that it gave me a headache (and I'm young). I just graduated from college and wasn't expecting to get a midsize family sedan, but I really was sold on the Fusion when I test drove it. I tend to be uncomfortable driving unfamiliar cars, and this was not so with the Fusion. I felt immediately comfortable, safe, and confident on the first drive. I liked the instrument panels because everything seemed logical and in the right place. I also found the sound of the audio system much better than my Cobalt, and am highly pleased with the sound, as well as all of the media technology in the car (the Sync is pretty cool and works great!). Lastly, the this car is just a dream to drive, it is very smooth. My only complaint is that for a car of this price range and quality, it is a bit disappointing that it doesn't have automatic headlights, which was the only luxury that my Cobalt DID have... Only the most expensive version of the Fusion has auto headlights, and I don't really know what Ford was thinking when they decided to not include auto headlights on all of them. I would also like a thermometer that tells me the outside temperature, but I guess that isn't as big of a deal as the auto headlights. Other than that, this is a great car, and I would recommend it to anyone!...read morehide

Love the car, but hate the headrests. I had to turn them around backwards. They look a little strange, but facing forward, they were painful to my neck and shoulders. Everything else about the car is great! Ford should redesign the headrests.

The ride and handling of the car is great. Fuel economy is about 30, not as good as I would like, but acceptable. I love the sync system and the voice commands are fun to use. The fit and finish of the car may be the best I have ever owned, making the Fusion a great value. I paid 18k, for the car with blue suede interior and nice wheels and stereo, not bad at all....read morehide

I bought this car because I needed something that got better gas milage than my Explorer. When I saw this car I fell in love with it. I drove both the 4 and 6 cyl and chose the 4 cyl, for the amount of driving I do the 4 is perfect I thought that a 4 cyl with 160 hp was pretty good.

I bought the 2009 Ford Fusion after testing the 2009 Camry, 2009 Altima, 2009 Sonata and 2009 Accord. The Ford employee pricing and the cash rebates sealed the deal for me. I got the 4 cyl, automatic, with leather trim interior, sun roof and SYNC, spoiler and rear sensor for less than $20K out-the-door, to include all fees and state sales tax . The Fusion performs above average and looks pretty good. If Ford offered a warranty like Hyundai, made some minor improvements (better performin engines, automatic lights, etc) and had a better marketing plan, this would be a leader of the pack vice a mid pack sedan. Overall, very good job, Ford!...read morehide
