I have the 2008 Taurus and it's a smooth ride. I like the way it sits higher than the average midsize cars. The ride id very smooth and quiet. And it's not bad on fuel either, Also, the appearance is real nice.

Had a fusion and and a Focus and both were great but with a new job we needed more room for work related materials and golf clubs.. We also travel extensively (2000 milies a month) and love the comfort. I am 6'1" 300lbs and I have no problem except for the console on the driver's side is a little confining. But I got over it. I wanted to wait for the 2010 but the discounts were too tempting. We expect to trade this one for a 2012 in a couple of years. Love Ford. Second vehicle is a 2003 F150....read morehide

We bought a Ford Taurus Limited FWD in October last year. (See my reivew under user name taiwanensis) Like the car so much that we just picked up another one today from the dealership.

Our old Taurus (not so old at 8 months) currently register 25 miles per gallon. We did look around and test drive other alternatives and still decided that Taurus offers the best combination for comfort, safety, fuel economy and value. :)

By the way, I dial into conference call for work using the in sync feature on my drive to work and it works wonderfully.

My wife and I just bought an 09 Taurus SE. We absolutely LOVE it. We also have an 04 Taurus that has never given us any problems at all. This 09 Taurus is tops in performance, handling, easy controls, interior luxury. The windshield is designed to give a very good view of the road, and the seat set higher than previous models. And the satellite radio is so cool!!! Especially the ALL ELVIS channel. I have owned cadillacs, grand marquis, lincoln town cars, dodges, chevy caprices, impalas, and this auto is absolutely the finest car we have ever owned. We will not buy anthing else from now on. I drove a midsize fusion for a couple of days and realized it did not have enough interior room for my baby car seat. So I went to the dealer and upgraded to a Taurus by paying a nominal difference. But, wow, what a difference in vehicle. The interior room is enormous. The wood trim gives a luxury flavor to the cabin, and the controls are simple and practical. Nothing high tech, just space and refined luxury. The best feature is the fuel economy. This car gets the same gas mileage as the V6 fusion, but being about 50% larger car. That is very efficient. My wife and I were rather disppointed that the company I work for was not going to provide me with another Freestyle (now Taurus X). However upon driving this car, we both just absolutely love it. Good power, comfortable ride, nice looks, spacious trunk, fold down backseats, etc. It is a huge step up from our 2005 Taurus which has been very good to us as well. Anyone who says Ford can't build a nice car and you need to buy a Honda or Toyota needs to take a long walk down a short plank. Buy American and support your own. I'm actually excited to have this car. We want to buy it after my employer is done with me driving it. If Ford just had their act together on their heavy duty diesel pickups, they'd really be on a great road to recovery....read morehide

I have had this car for 2 months now. Dealer are willing to deal on this car. Great value right now in this economy. If you are looking for a SAFE large car with good gas mileage this is the one. Lots of nice features that are standard on the SEL. Well worth the upgrade.
Getting 20 MPG City not sure about Highway yet. This car is a 6 speed to help with gas mileage. All cars will be made this was in the future. Nice job FORD you will servive this down economy. Keep up the good work on building more fuel efficient cars both Big and Small. FORD, good move on calling the Ford 500 the Taurus old Taurus owners will love this new design even better. Bought this car new in May 2008. It was greatly discounted and has everything I could have wanted in a car. The power is impressive for a large vehicle and there's tons of room for the kids. For the value, this is truely a fabulous car and has great fuel economy. Currently I get 21.7 mpg mixed driving. The fit and finish is great, smooth transmission, and smooth engine. Ford has truely improved on its quality. I have owned Fords from the 80's and there is no comparision in quality. I think with the new Taurus, it will be a great hit just as long as Ford markets it correctly. Kudos to Ford!...read morehide
