I like this suv, but I have 49,000 miles on it and the transmission blew out! It is in warranty so I didn't have to pay for the repairs, but i think this is WAY TOO SOON to have this kind of trouble with a new vehicle.

I have a 2006 Envoy SLT, I also purchased this one, and I am THRILLED!! I can race with this SUV, it is that powerful. One of my best purchases ever. Zero road noise. Air Suspension, and gorgeous in black.

This was a great vehicle for our needs. The additonal bucks for the SLT was well worth the bells and whisles.Heated seats were a must for my wife with cronic back pain. This was equipped with a 373 rear for the towing capability. I only used this one time in four years for towing and sacraficed a couple mpg for the entire time...not worth the money for the lower rear ratio for me. I have just purchased a 2009 Denali and find the mpg to be better even with the V-8 but with a higher rear ratio. The new vehicle has independent for wheel air suspension and feels quite a bit more substantial to drive...quite like the feel of a larger Tahoe or Silverado pick-up both of which I have had and still do drive....read morehide

I bought mine in 2006 on a Red Tag sale brand new can't say anything bad about it, great ride, very very comfortable. Love the way it handles in the snow and gets 17-21 mpg great for a very heavy vehicle. We tried a couple different full sized suv's including Toyota and Honda and we came back to the Denali we even tryed BMW for value we still came back to the Denali my wife drives most of the time and she loves it. We are planning to buy another one this spring of 09 if we can buy it on a Red Tag sale that is....read morehide

Bigger is better. More protection against crazy drivers out there. I never will get into a small car/suv with better gas mileage. The ride in the small suvs are like riding a bronco. The GMC envoy is quality made unlike the smaller cars/suvs. I wish more people out there will buy bigger because in the long run it is better when some one is coming at you in the wrong direction....read morehide

researched for over a year before buying. My daughter bought her's first then I following year. Love it as I live in a very snowy area of the country. Since getting it I don't have to worry about the weather. Trips are great as I own two greyhounds and travel with them alot.
With the way the cargo area was designed there isn't the wheel well problem for the dogs. Love the lift up hatch and window opening on back door. Design of heat controls could be a little more friendly for the driver. However its an adjustment easy enough to work with. Lumbar support is good for I have a lower back problem. Also the adjustable driver's seat really helps for constantly adjusting for back.
I don't care what the negative's are about this vehicle I would buy one again. Since both my daughter and I have one that says something about my family. Also even though no vehicle is really made in america I support my family who worked for GMC...read morehide

I love driving this suv, it has a lot of power for the size. I just bought it so I haven't towed anything yet, but it can to up to 6500 lbs. The interior is very luxurious and comfortable. I will buy one again once they make a new style.
