Purchased a Hybrid a few weeks ago and drove it across the country and had a very good ride. It got approx 23.4 MPG according to the on board computer, I love the fact that while I am just sitting at the lights or just sitting in the vehicle it goes into the "auto stop" mode to save on fuel. I also like the fact that I do have that V8 under the hood for when I do need it. It is a smooth transition from batteries to engine when it does kick in.
