We researched cars for about 8 months, waiting for a good time to buy and trade in a Jeep Cherokee. After several test drives we were ready to buy an Accord sedan. The dealer had a beautiful red Accord Coupe with great amenities and was willing to deal. We took it for a drive and never had a second thought. The back seat is quite easy to get in and out of. We also have a VW Passat and the Honda feels much more solid. Fit and finish is great. Very sporty. Great sound system. Handles very well. Plenty of power. In our 40s... makes us feel twenty years younger....read morehide

I have had my silver 09' coupe EX-L I4 for 10 days now and i love it. I have 400 miles on it and have slowly been breaking it in. Can;t wait till the 550-600 mile range so i can officially test it out. The Handling is great. If you adjust the sound system correctly you can get a pretty good thump coming out of the sub. At first all the buttoms seem clustered, but within a few days I am totally used to them. I was looking at the Altima Coupe and the Mitsubishi Elcipse, but the price on the accord coupe and the features, leather, mud guards, all weather floor mats, 270 sound system, 17in rims with michelin tires, very good suspension, and a peppy I4, and of course the new Accord looks makes people looking at my car like,"What is that?" You dont see many of them on the road because they only make 1 coupe for every 10 sedans the dealer told me. I love this car and will enjoy it for many years....read morehide

I had enough with feeding my Grand Caravan and fuel injected V8 Ford LTD. After testing driving various cars for 2+ weeks the Accord Coupe really impressed me. I tried both the V6 and I4 and bought a Belize Blue EX-L I4. The V6 uses timing a belt the four has a chain. Throw in the optional 7 year 100k warranty I popped for and that's trouble free motoring in my book. The ivory leather will show dirt more than the black leather but I got it off the lot for 21,100 plus tax and conveyance fee with the trade of my 2003 Dodge. Sexiest car and it draws many positive comments. Ya should have seen the look on my girl friend the first time I picked her up in it. I have no problems with the stack of buttons now after 3 weeks. Living in CT I have already had to use the heated mirrors and this thing defrosts and warms very quickly. The heated seats are great too. I'm really impressed at the interior size for a coupe and the overall sophistication of this car. The I4 has plenty of guts and I'm not racing this thing after all. My old '69 L-36 427 Stingray was a real muscle car, this Accord is just plain slick and classy. The paint flip flops under different lighting, the wheels are pretty and and the style stands out. I bought a practical car that oozes with positive traits and feels sporty. Best automatic trans I ever drove, the thing is reading my mind and makes good use of the I4. BTW my 70+ year old parents bought an Accord EX-L V6 sedan on my reccomendation and they already have had a long line of Caddys and own a loaded DTS as well. They think it's a solid buy too. Try one before you buy your next car....read morehide

The 2009 Honda Accord CPE EX-L is a great styling coupe offering both exceptional value and a sporty design. On the inside, the soft, ultra-supportive leather seats hug you in place. The fit and finish is of what you would find in it's grown up and matured cousin, Acura. The only downside most consumers may find is the radio layout. Jumbled with large buttons and knobs may be overwhelming initially, but drive it around the blocks a few times and you will find that all the buttons are within arms reached and perfectly laid out. The 7 speaker (4 midrange, 2 tweeters and 1 8" sub woofer) 270w system is very good, but not great. From a 270w audio system we would expect deep bass and concert like sound, and yes this is what it delivers. But when compared to a lower wattage Bose, Infinity or Mark Levinson audio system, it doesn't live up to what a true 270w system "should" sound like. Although the upgraded premium stereo, over the standard 160w 6 speaker system, is an excellent upgrade, but is only available in the EX and higher trim.
The I-4 2.4 190hp engine delivers great performance for a 4-cylinder motor. Paired up with the 5AT, the car shifts smoothly with plenty of torque to zip you around town. Fuel economy rated at an upsetting EPA 21/30. Highway mileage of 30MPG is acceptable especially for a car of this power; however 21MPG in the city is not something we expect from an I-4 Honda. Combined MPG in mixed driving situations you will expect to get about 25 MPG.
Honda went all out with redesigning the Accord Cpe for 2008. From it's aggressive front end and angled headlights, riding upon large 17" Michelin Pilot low profile tires, to its slick and smooth rear makes this 8th generation Accord very different from the previous. For a coupe, many have said that it's rather large; however keep in mind this isn't your average Accord. For 2008 Honda has drastically increased the size of the Accord to its now competitive size to Toyota's Avalon. The coupe is quite large for a coupe, and still offers desirable legroom and headroom for the rear passengers.
The only downside of the 2009 Accord EX-L I4 is that Honda did not make fog lights an option leaving a cheap looking black cover over where the fog lights would be. From all the great things about the new Accord CPE, this minor disadvantage can be well overseen.
Overall, when comparing with a Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, or the new and drastically impressive 2009 Mazda6, the 2009 Honda Accord CPE takes the cake....read morehide
