Alright so, i bought the 2009 V6 with leather and factory additional body kits last week and its a Honda, so reliability is given. looks great, sounds nice, feels nice, drives smooth, saves ur petrol budget with the VCM technology. looks great again, altho the rear could do some work. body kits are pretty. however, the main issue i faced with this car is, it looks like a sports car, but it isnt. the gear shift from N to D is sluggish. the transmission lags, it is a FWD, initial acceleration is nice but slows by a large margin at higher speeds. the car is noisy when floored and quiet when running.
Audio
the audio system is ALPINE with 6 speakers and a sub woofer. pretty impressive at first however gets annoying on acoustic notes. comparing this to the BOSE system in the Infinity G35, or the Rockford Fosgate in the evoX, this systems got a long way to go in terms of wattage and acoustic balancing.
Fuel Efficiency
impressive. filled my tank to full and safely cruised to about 575kms with 1/8th of the tank remaining with a combination of both city and highway driving. the VCM technology in the engine sure does save fuel in the long run as it cuts down on the engine fuel consumption at cruise speeds by only running 3 cylinders in ECO mode.
Safety
it features a similar airbag design as the sedan with curtain airbags on either side of the rear seats and front, and front airbags for the front passenger and the driver. the VSA (vehicle stability assist) performs well at corners and sharp round-abouts leaving no slip or drag at reasonable speeds. turning at about 65degrees sharp at the speed of around 100-120kmph does cause the car to slip in a linear direction due to the high momentum, but the VSA does safely catch up to it which is good. the build quality is strong with internal fenders and shock cancellation bars with a strong metal exterior. weight and low center of gravity helps stick the car to the ground but it could do with more downforce.
Drive
yes, if you are a racing enthusiast, this car will unfortunately fail to impress u as stock. lack of RWD cuts on the handling, stability and agility. if your aim to buy this car is to flaunt of its italian sports car looks, or maybe just go on a drive on weekends, it fits its mark. decent handling, smooth and safe ride, relatively agile as compared to the sedan. the BIGGEST drawback (which i admit i dreaded to find out) was the transmission. horrible would be an overstatement but sluggish would be an under. the clutch is slow, the transmission is stiff, no paddle shight, no triptronic gear (it has steptronic, meaning 1-2-3-D). if ur not going to race, drive is a pleasure.
Interior
the leather and trim is nice. the back seats are spacious, ample head and leg room in the front but decent at the back. being rarther tall (6'2ft), i dread the day i would have to sit at the back.the front seat gave me a pain in my lower back after driving for 3 hours. the central console, too clogged up with buttons (i still dont know what A-select is and im lazy to read the manual). however, the interior is clean, spacious, utility focused (with room to keep ur Pradas and Guccis), finally, a top mounted handbrake! nice grip and feel of the steering wheel, gear knob is too rigid and LED display is hard to see during the day. wish it had a push-down accelerator than a press-front-top.
so, to sum it up:
Acceleration: nice
Speed: nice
Handling: nice (omitting the fact that its not RWD
Braking: average
Exterior: drop dead pretty with the Honda body kits
Interior: above-average
Build: strong
Audio: above-average
Resale: awesome
Reliability: awesome
final note: if u want to race and have enough cash to blow on mods.............go for another car in this class. this one is a pure style icon as it is.

I was at my Honda dealership recently looking at swapping Civics when I thought I would test drive the Accord coupe (since I was on the lot.) After that drive, all I could say was 'WOW'. I couldn't let it go! So, I made the jump up in class that day from Civic to Accord. This is a spectacular vehicle! It has great handling and power. Beautiful leather package with the metallic accents just speak 'class'. I wake up every day excited that I get to drive this amazing vehicle!...read morehide

Had my car for about 5 months. Have nothing but good things to say about it.
Cylinder Management gives you good gas mileage if you want to drive it like a 4 Cylinder, but v6 power always there if you want to have a little fun.
I have nothing but positive things to say about this car. Give it a test drive and see if you agree.
PS: try to V6. The fun factor more than makes up for the price difference over the 4 cylinder....read morehide

This is my 3rd Accord, far most, the best. When I started looking for a new car I decide to try others. I wanted a sportier car so I test drove the Porsche Cayman and the Nissan's Z Cars several times. I decided to go back to my Honda Dealer where they showed me the new Honda Accord Coupe. This car shocked me. The Cayman nor the Z car could not compare to the Accord. This car handles very well on the road, has great power, comfortable, great accessories, all with a great price. I am so happy with my decision....read morehide

Overall great value for the money. First tank of gas averaged 28 MPG with the average speed of 64 miles per hour. Most of the time cruise was on 78 MPH.

I just picked up my dark gray 09 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 Auto (no nav) last weekend. Put 500 miles on it this week and could not be happier with the decision. This car is rock-solid, gets lots of compliments and is not "lost in the parking lot" like so many other models these days. Build quality is excellent, the car is steady and shure-footed on the highway, performance is outstanding with the V6 automatic (regular gas is a benefit these days as well). Overall, got a great deal here in FL, and the competitors pale in comparison (Altima Coupe was "cheap" feeling and not nearly as expensive-feeling)....read morehide

You won't believe how many second looks this car gets. Ofcourse, I bought it for the looks but the fact that it is a Honda Accord, sealed the deal for me. Best selling car for over a decade and sleek body, can't go wrong.
