This car is much better than any of the others I test drove, Altima, Camry. The hadeling at speed, and wet conditions are very nice. Also the transmission not having to wait on a computer to decide which shift point to find was very nice, it went to proper gear without me having to downshift and get the power I needed and return back to fuel saving quickly was a major bonus. Unfortunately this car cuts out at 115 mph, I am still looking for the car that can match my 1970 GTO's speed of 165mph. Overall, I love this car, I can beat most cars and keep ahead of them until their drivers get scared and give up....read morehide

I had the car about 9 months and the brakes squeeked since the day I bought it and was told it was rust by the dealership and should go away. So i just put up with the brakes but at my last oil change at 17,000 miles I had to replace my back brakes which was covered under warranty due to a defect according to the dealer. a week later and I am hearing the loud squeeking again and it is embarrasing when people are in the car even the valet at a restaurant mentioned it to me. I am going to take it back to the dealer again tomorrow. I do not recommend this car due to the brake issues since a lot of other owners are having the same issue....read morehide

I have the same issue with the seats of the 09 accord as others. I was hoping getting a new car would give me more back comfort versus my 1993 accord, but turns out the seats on the old car were more comfortable for my back. I didn't have the same problem with the headrests others have had, but I did have a problem with the seat back. I don't really consider it a problem with firmness per se, but with the contour of the seat back. Agree with an earlier review that it feels like something is jutting into the mid-back too much. Combined with the firmness, that's a problem, because the offending part of the seat back does not have give to it. The solution that has helped some so far was to get an expensive back support for the seat. In case anyone wants to try one, I got the McCarty's Sacro Ease premium (full length back) model from the Relax the Back Store. It comes in colors that match the Honda interior colors pretty well. The good thing about it is that it's got a frame to it and you can leave it straight to help keep you from feeling the exaggerated curve of the seat....read morehide

I really like my car. I'm 18, and even though its a sedan, i dont feel like Im driving a mawmaw car. I looked at Camrys, Altimas, and Sonatas before i got my accord. It is the most sporty out of all of them. I got a silver EX-L and added a moonroof visor and a spoiler, and it really does look sporty. My friends all like it, and it pretty much works for all purposes. The aux jack is in an inconvenient place, but thats no big deal. The front seat is a little hard, but i got used to it extremely quickly; and there is a little road noise when you are on the interstate, but its not bad at all compared to the Altima. Overall, i really like it. Even if you are older, its a great car and its a good, solid car. I recommend this car to anyone....read morehide

I recently purchased 4 cyl. EX-L, excellent vehicle for the money. I purchased $4000 less than MSRP. Gas mileage on highway is approx. 32 MPG, however, city mileage is around 22, little bit of disappointment there. But when you look at the size of the vehicle, I'm quite happy with it. Lot of people complaint about the front car seat, so far the longest length of driven time was 2 hours at a time, and frankly it's ok. It's something that I should get use to. I prefer more firmer seat than this car, ex. my subaru tribeca is more comfortable than accord. Most impressive thing about this car is actually the power that 4 cyl has. Plenty of passing power, however, for some reason this car down shift on downhill hard braking. Does anybody notice this????...read morehide

I have had my new accord for four months now and love it. When I read some of the reviews I wonder if they have the same car! I have not had any problems with it. This is my third accord and have had no problems with any of them.

In spite of the apparent quality and stylish looks we have to agree with others about several things. We just drove back and forth to Florida in our Accord bought in November. It was our first long trip and others are definitely right about the uncomfortable seats. Wow! I may need a back adjustment. It doesn't get to you till you have to ride about and hour or so.
Our mileage also wasn't up to what is advertised. The first half of our trip we got between 23.6 and 25.1 mpg. The send half was a bit better at 26.9 to 29.4. This is with the 4clyinder and not sure if wind and using AC was a factor? Also the wind noise was very noticeable on the highway. We had the dealer look at window sealing and so far no better. Not what we expected for a $28K car. This car seems heavier and larger than our other Accords and so maybe that's why mileages is so poor?
We had Hondas before , but I have to agree with with others that this seems to be no better now than even domestic competition and at the higher Honda cost. I'll be driving the '06 Saturn we usually use as a winter daily driver. It's seats are better than the Accord for my back, and no road/wind noise with better gas mileage. My wife will need a new car next year, and we will really shop all brands next time....read morehide

I purchased the vehicle new about 2 weeks ago and I am noticing that the brakes tend to squeak. This is very annoying. I have 1100 miles on the car so I guess if the noise continues, I will have to get it checked out. Overall, I am enjoying the vehicle. This is my third Accord that I have purchased and I did not have problems with any of them. I hope this one meets the same expectations!!!...read morehide

09 EXL for only about a month now so these are initial impressions: .I like alot about the Accord.. but like everyone else, I have small gripes. I did alot of research before buying and took many test drives of competitors. Biggest gripe: poor MPG (averaging 22.5 MPG) after 3 tanks is a bit worse vs my 01 Passat, but Accord has 40 more HP and sips regular fuel. I am not a leadfoot.... this is still worse than EPA advertised...(70city-30 hwy). It has get-up foor a 4 banger- no complaints there- I wish I would have the v6 if my mileage was going to be this poor anyhow- at least I would have a bit more fun.. This is a big car and can accomodate large adults in the back, but has turn in and handling of a smaller car. I look forward to driving it, no so in parking it. it's just that I'm used to a smaller car. Comments I read about road noise and hard seat have shades of truth, but WAY overblown. Some posts are downright silly about this. All of you: If those are the worst complaints, WOW, get a life. I think road noise is more a function of tires- and most OEM rubber stinks, Honda included. Would liked if Honda included side moulding bumbers and fog lamps as standard for the EXL (top of the line...) somehow missing on the sedan....read morehide

It was time to trade in my Trailblazer and downsize to something more gas friendly, so I went back to Honda. I had 2 Honda's previously and I was satisfied,so i figured the same would happen. Well, I was wrong. It seems that Honda started cutting back on materials and quality as well. I have had the car for 8 months and put on 22000 miles and already I have purchased new front brakes and replaced a speaker. Not to mention that the road noise is driving me nuts. Every little pebble tings and pings under the car which was different from my previous Honda experience. However, I love the gas mileage. Honda is rockin on gas but the quality has changed. Lastly, the AUX outlet is placed in the strangest location stuck under the arm rest. I have to snake my are around to get the darn IPOD plug that I have to make sure that it's connected before I start driving otherwise I am miserable. I was hoping that the V6 would be better but based on other reviews it does not matter....read morehide
