Just checked out my milage,, 31.6 miles per gallon, 2007 SI Sedan
I've replaced the factory rims with 16inch steal rims with a larger tire size to help during winter driving and frost heaves here in Maine.
Just turned 50k miles...
The seat setting is max'd out,, good thing... just under 6' tall.
Fun to drive all the time,,, 38 year old driver... cheers......read morehide

I had a 2007 civic lx sedan and sold it to buy my 08 civic si coupe. This car is so much fun to drive. You can drive it at normal speeds around town or you can redline it up to 8000 rpm where the power is. This car is set up to go fast from 6000 to 8000 rpm. The sound from the engine kicks in a sounds great. It handles sharp curves and the road so easy. I don't even have the performance tires either. The seats keep you in place and you don't slide from back and forth while driving all crazy. The car does not roll from side to side. This is by car the best car i've owned. I had a 2002 mitsubishi spyder gt and this car kills it in every way. I installed a K&N cold air intake and it sounds even more awesome than before. I offer to let people drive my car so then can see how fun it is to drive. If you are thinking about getting one or if you want to have some fun while not spending a ton of money I would get this car....read morehide

First i need to clear this, this civic si has a 2.0 litre Inline 4 engine, not a V4. I own a 07 civic si sedan which is not too much different than the new si sedan, the car now has 39,000 miles on it. Here are some of the pros & cons I found over the years.
PROS: I have to say that i love my si most of the reason is the handling, this car's handling is superb with just stock opts out of the factory. It makes you feel like you can attack on every turn, and actually you can. Spacious interior room for the sedan, convenient dash-board build around the driver. Good gas mileage, i average around 27 mpg depends on how fast can you shift from gear 1 ~ 6 at around 2,000 rpm. Reliability wise, i never had any problems with it except the infamous 3rd gear problem,(i will get to that in the cons). Appearance, is very stylish in my opinion, and helps on the aerodynamic. Car is very light, 197hp is sufficient, and good power to weight ratio is always a strong point of all honda vehicles. Best resale value of all cars, low maintenance and repair cost, lots of after market parts for upgrades. Here are a few
CONS: Good handling goes hand in hand with stiff suspensions and it makes you feel all bumps & pot holes on the road. The car can use a little more torque at lower end, 6th gear is set little too close with the 5th, so you have to rev around 3500rpm or higher to cruise on the freeway. 3rd gear grind/pop is caused by overfilled stock transmission fluid (around 1 qt extra), so change it with the right amount of fluid can fix that. Interior plastic is soft No.5 PP mix plastic, it is easily scratched. Wished for a Blue tooth option.
If you have read this far, i hope it can help you decide whether this is the right car for you. IMO, if you are working on a budget this car is a great buy, you will have great fun, and love it. At around $23,000 OTD it is the best bang for your buck, period....read morehide

My SI has treated me well. I do lots of mixed driving and git around 24 to 27 mixed mileage, an I do have a lead foot. The high rev'n engine makes ya shift a lot, I don't mind but some do. Girlfriend hates when I v-tec it, but to me that's the best part. Wish it had some more torque for the pick up, but it is quick and nimble. I get around 34 mpg when on highway if keep'n it under 79 mph, if I go over to 80-90's seems to do 29 or 30ish, significantly lower. Wish the rims looked better like the 2K upgrade'd ones or were blacked out, to match the car. 3rd gear seems to stick funny at times and the e-brake rubs the side of my knee wrong on long road trips. But I do get a lot of sweet ride compliments and I really do like the car, I've bought a lot of new cars and sometimes have buyers remorse, not with this one thou. I'm gonna have her for a while, which says a lot for the car!...read morehide

I bought European model 1.8 ES 4D. 16' alloy wheels. It has all equipment except NAV ad leather.
Open road: 5 liter / 100km
City (cold, short distance - less then 3km): 11liter / 100km
City (average): 9liter / 100km
Car likes to use it's power - so, give it to "her". As noticed in user manual - use higher gear whenever possible.
Had a crash, big rock (40 kg) felt on it while driving. Passengers just heard the noice of impact. Front side smashed, engine not damaged. Had no impact on stability at all. Drove 250 km to reach service.
With winter tires, there is no diference if the road is dry or covered with snow or ice....read morehide

For the Money this car is tough to beat, built very well and a good riding car on the freeway. I really like it. It is fun, when you want to bang some gears the tranny is smooth as silk. Great buy for $22,500.00

I owned a 2007 Civic LX Coupe and enjoyed it alot. I decided to trade up to the SI 4 door and I feel like I have extra room I love the driving experience. I would recommend this car to anyone.

Amazing is a good start to me, granted this is my first new car in my life. I have had enough used cars to now that this car is a keeper. To quote Ferris Bueller " if you have the means I highly reccomend you get one." But thats whats so great is that this car is totally affordable to most anyone and your BANG for your buck is great. I am head over heels in love with this car and I am still just breaking it in. Pins you to your seat I almost look forward to red lights so it gives me an excuse to run through the gears. I am lucky enough to live out in the country and there are some amazing winding roads for me to conquer. The suspension and limited slip diff let you accelerate through the turns for a real rush. 7 speaker stereo system rocks and the usb hookup makes playing your mp3 seamless with existing stereo system. Power everything AC and the split dash (which I have found to be a complaint in other reviews) is real cool and for me the mph is just in my lower field of vision so I can look how fast I am going without really moving my eyes. I wish it had a tachometer up there but the rev limit indicator light is located there so I think it will work out. From the outside this car says look at me, I often go out to parking lot at work just to stare at it. Alloy racing rims with low profile tires, lowered for a great stance - rear spoiler - exhaust tip - fog lights in front spoiler all factory installed. Trunk is big enough for 3 sets of golf clubs or I would guess 4 -5 normal sized suitcases. My only complaint would be that for me the parking brake handle is in an odd place (up by gear shift) I would have preferred it to be lower next to seat or in console but you would lose cup holders. Blah blah blah I guess you can gather that I think this car is amazing if you want my opinion and since you read this far you must want it I would wholeheartedly recommend you to BUY IT!!!!...read morehide
