We previously owned a 07 Pilot which we loved but got poor in town gas mileage of around 12 mpg. In September we purchased the CR-V. Around town I now get an average of around 19 mpg. My husband and I just returned from a 3000 mile road trip and average gas mileage was right at 25 mpg the whole trip. The CR-V easily held our luggage, fishing equipment, and purchases at Round Top antique fair. It easily cruised the the interstate at 75 and passed uphill with no problems with the 4 cyl engine. The Pilot was more comfortable but I find the CR-V much easier to drive in town and easier on the gas budget.
