I also own a 2005 SE CRV that I still have. The 2009 has a cheaper interior, more plastic on the dash. It has better front seats than the 2005 and more pep. Have less than a 1000 miles on it but it seems okay so far.

Compact yet very functional, good handling and great gas mileage for SUV.

When the tires are overfilled it rides rough.

I have enjoyed my little SUV quite a bit and it is zippy when it needs to be. It drives like a car and serves as a SUV. Although the front end looks like something is missing and the dealership has overfilled the tires to 38lbs when it is suggested at 30lbs, no wonder it rides rough - I keep them between 30-32lbs and the ride is MUCH BETTER......read morehide

Overall a very nice car and fits a family of 4 fine. Very quiet and isn't the fastest car around but is snappy enough with the size engine it has.

Just return from a 3700 mile trip in by CRV and avgeraged 28 mpg on the entire trip. MPG around town is usally 20. Honda needs to
put A/C vents in the back and make the front seats better for long
trip travel. Otherwise this is the perfect vehicle for any size family
to use as a primary vehicle or a secondary car. The styleing is

Traded in our '08 Accord because it just didn't give us the cargo room we needed. The ride is similar to the Accords because of engine/power.
does lack some of the features the Accord had, but i guess that is to be expected. I've only had it for less than a week, and i have already made the transition over from car to small suv. if your interested in buying one, test drive it! you got nothing to lose....read morehide

I live in Finland and just bought CR-V (model 2009). I had a Renault before Honda so I've (hopefully) changed to a better quality and reliability. Honda CR-V has won several car tests in magazines or get well rated among top 3 in Europe.
However, I'm STILL getting familiar with the "steering touch/feeling"(I don't know if that is a right english term but I hope you understand it)
I've noticed that sidewind has quite easily an effect on the steering. When I'm breaking with a smaller gear, it has a slight effect on the steering and in both of these cases, I need to do slight corrections with the steeringwheel in order to keep my car in the middle of the lane. On a long trip on a windy day, it's quite wearing to the driver.

Now I'm quite surprised and worried after reading the comments of the steering in snow&ice. I also heard later that heating is not strong enought when temperature is below -20 celcius degrees.
I bought a 4WD just due to the weather conditions in Finland and trusting to the tests in magazines etc. I hope CR-V won't let me down.
