Last April, my wife brought 2009 Honda FIT without I know. I was very upset that she got Japanese car. My first time to enter her passenger seat. My knee hit cup holder on right side of dashboard. Very pain my knee!!
My opinion that her car is not smooth ride on fair condition of road. Also, I feel strong vibration from engine. I hate it.
I complain that her car does not have arm rest (I used to have Porsche 924, Benz 300E and Grand Am which have arm rest).
She tried to avoid hit the animal on the street. Her front wheel hit curb. The steel wheel got bad bend. Have to replace but no luck to find used parts. We had to order new rim plus rubber tire. It cost me over $350. The honda's tire is very expensive than my Porsche and Grand Am.
Now, she starts complain hurt her back and knee. I did not say to her about hurt back and knee from her car. That's her choice car.
This car is great for short distance but not smooth ride on fair condition road....read morehide

I have owned my '09 FIT for 8 months - and love it.
I traded in an 18 yr old Toyoto (that still ran strong) for my Honda.
I wanted good gas milage, with the max. amount of cargo area.
The FIT was a perfect match for my needs.
I was torn between the Honda FIT, and the Toyota Yaris.
The Yaris is also a great car, but the Honda has a little more cargo area and nice seat flexibility/configurations....read morehide

This is my 2nd FIT. I purchased one alomost two years ago. A few weeks ago, I was in a car wreck, airbag deployed and saved me from serious injury. I'm a little banged-up but doing fine.
I got a RED- Milano Red 2009 Fit. I love it, AGAIN. So do my friends. Wish I knew how to display the pictures from my wreck.
Sharp Looking, Great Value, Great Gas Mileage, Plenty of room; Excellent safety feature's........YOU ARE A FOOL, IF YOU DO NOT PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE FOR YOURSELF, FAMILY OR BUSINESS....read morehide

Sure there our cars you might like more, but for oh say 7 or more thousand more there not worth the extra money. Honda used a two layer chassis and a center mounted fuel tank to give this car is wonderful balance so even with loads of interior volume and a high ceiling you still feel like your driving a road hugging honda. I opted for the paddle shifters which with this low powered engine ment they could make the transmission shift very fast, I am told its the same transmission as the civic but it shifts faster and with the less powerful engine mounted to it means it will last a very long time. I used to own a Scion XA, the car would try and slide into the ditch every time the weather even hinted at rain or there was a bump in the road, but with the Hondas soft suspension and quick steering even if you do try your best to get the tail out, it comes back in so naturaly with little counter its almost impossible to wreck. I just love this car I bought a Saab 9-3 50k car, and the interior quality, transmission and motor in the honda our far better, Now I agree with all that glass and being aluminum some times you have a little road noise but not any more then any other car out there for the same money. So if someone were to say I am looking for a new car under 18k, you would be crazy to even consider anything else....read morehide

I just purchased the 2009 Fit Base model 2 weeks ago and I am in love with it. It's my first and most prized item and the car is extremely comfortable! I'm getting around 40mpg! The radio system actually is pretty good in this car, it's better than the old 2002 Honda accord that I have been driving around with. It has an extremely roomy interior and though I do not have an arm-rest because I have the base model, I don't miss any of those little add-ons....read morehide

I have been a returning Honda Owner for 10 years and this is my 3rd Honday and my favorite. I love the space it has and the MPG I get. I am consistantly getting 37-38 MPG ( I drive all Highway) and I can get so much stuff in the back that we rarely use my husbands Nissan Alitma anymore. It is comfortable to take long drives and it has all the bells and whistles I need.
I did get the base model so it did not come with keyless entry or cruise control but neither has really been missed. It is fun to drive and it is the most usefull car I have ever had!
I would tell everyone to get one if they need something smaller than a truck but bigger than a car. I call it my Mini Minivan!...read morehide

Bought new 2008 Fit last August. Very happy with car, but disappointed with gas mileage. Expected 25/35, but just get 20/30 mpg. I drive sensibly, don't speed and no jackrabbit starts, etc. Otherwise, great little car so far.

On a recent road-trip I got 400+ miles on one tank...averaged 46-49 mpg... I was between 65-70 mph... returning home seats were a little uncomfortable, but probably because I had a full load of 3 dogs, luggage, and a painting... not to mention 7 hours driving without a single rest stop.... a little sore... didn't really like it when I bought it....it has grown on me and now I love it!!
I went in to purchase the 5spd. figuring that got the best mpg. Suprised that it was the auto that got BETTER hwy mpg. got the auto. again...sticker says 35 mpg hwy...I got 49mpg going...46mpg returning... not a bad return on my purchase...
Think of all the extra highway space if everyone drove a vehicle this size... and with the 10 gal fuel tank...oil companies will get less of your money. Less is always good when it comes to supporting oil companies.
Great Car...Buy one...Everybody...Right Now!!...read morehide
