I adore my car. I've had it for 2 months and it's the perfect car for where I live (DC). I can park it anywhere, plenty of room for trips to IKEA and more comfortable than my Infiniti Sedan was on my long torso 6' 1" frame. It really is unbelievably roomy, like an optical illusion. I swear it has more interior room than my buddy's Jeep Liberty SUV.
The car is a blast to drive. Nimble and peppy enough for city driving. Could use a few more HP on the interstate, but with the manual transmission it's more than adequate. I wouldn't bother with an automatic transmission.
My only knocks are the name, "Fit", it just sounds girly. I got a few chuckles from friends when I told them what I bought, they changed their tune when they saw the car. If there was an Si version with about 200hp, a sunroof, and leather, I would buy it in a second. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. I'm very happy with my purchase....read morehide

for the money its really decent, the good fuel econ and spacious interior are a great plus for it, the only real complaints are the body style and all the windows make it a hot car on those summer days, and the front bumper is low also. i have yet to see how it handles in the winter but wouldn't be surprised if it can handle mild winter conditions....read morehide

After having to decide between fixing the transmission on my 1991 Honda Accord EX Wagon (approx. $3,000) or purchase a new car -- guess what I chose? I test drove the Fit Sport 5-Spd manual and was sold within a quarter mile. Super responsive and precise in all aspects. Not a cushy ride by any means, but if you want a car that truly exudes quality and precision, look no further. Everything 'works' in this little jewel. The USB connection for the iPod is housed in it's own dedicated mini-glovebox and blends in with the dashboard seemlessly. The interior roominess is truly a marvel as you cannot see this from the outside. The steering is silent as it has it's own dedicated electric motor -- no 'power steering' sound. The shifting (manual) is so precise that you feel like you're driving a formula 1 car. No kidding. I've only owned it for 2 weeks, but can honestly say that it is the funnest car I've ever owned hands down. The rear seat configurations are ingenious as well. Aside from the fold-down flat qualities, the rear seat bottoms fold 'up' and lock into place to give space for a bike, suitcases, or whatever you want. Really cool. Gas mileage you ask? So far I'm seeing between 35 - 40 mpg and the car isn't even broken in yet. As you can see, I'm very happy with my Fit Sport....read morehide

Switched from a VW Golf turbo and do not miss the horse power as much as I thought I would. Have often been getting 35-38 miles per gallon on the highway, even going at 70mph or faster. Manual transmission drives better then the automatic, which I test drove before deciding on the manual. The car sits five people, but the back seat will comfortably accomodate three *small* passengers. The Fit does not come with satellite radio, a major turnoff, though it includes a USB port for MP3 players and you can also install satellite radio by using the Aux conector if you don't mind the hassle. Excellent purchase for the price....read morehide

This is a very good car, I recommend them all the time. It feels so much bigger than it actually is, especially inside, I regularly have a full size mountain bike in mine. I usually average 36-38 mpg and I don't always use a light foot. I only have a few complants. First, the range isn't great for long trips, about 265-280 miles if you fill up with around 1/4 left. Second, you will want to stay alert during crosswinds, but what do you expect for a short wheel base car with almost flat sides. Third, the ride can be rough over broken pavement, but again, nothing horrible. I'm being picky here, there are far to many positives about this car. Great aux/USB hookups, backseats are very versitile, great shifting 5-speed, easy clutch, good outward visibility. This truly is the best car in its class, if you shop around for other cars in the class you will definatly end up with the Fit. Even if you pay just a little more, your happiness will make up for it....read morehide

I test drove a few different compact cars, and the fit had the most enjoyable driving feel to it. the visibility is great, and I did not feel claustrophobic in it like most of the other smaller vehicles I tested. I am eager to see what gas milage I end up with, There is a real time indicator showing how your fuel consumption is at any given moment, so you can actually learn to drive in the most fuel efficient manner. It handles beautifully, and I can park almost anywhere. The back seats are kind of small, but there is room enough for a full sized adult back there, and I like the options for folding the seats up or down to haul things. Transmission shifts nicely....read morehide

I am really happy with my Honda Fit, the gas mileage is better than listed, interior is spacious, expecially considering the its small size. I live in the mountains and have to down shift to maintain speed over the pass. Overall a great car.

I've had my 08 Fit for almost a year and absolutely love it!! I live in Dallas and go to school in Lubbock. On cruise control, I average about 37 miles to the gallon. Great car, great control, very worth the money!!!
