I bought my 2006 H3 (used) for myself for my 65th birthday. Love the safety and the ride is awsome. The back sear is a little tight but don't use it that much. Great cargo space. I put a banner on the back window stating "Grandma's H3". Fun and my granddaughters love to drive it. As far as the gas mileage, I don't mind it at all. Lets see where to start. I think the Hummer H3 is well worth the price I paid for it Brand New! It has been reliable on LONG adventures to different states and rides nicely in any weather. Yes the gas can make it kind of a tear jerker... But it does get better MPG then my dads Dodge or his GMC trucks. After my lease is up Im definately buying it! I would hate to give up my baby! I have a 11 yr old son that adores it and will be his one day. I trust it that much to give to my son when he starts to drive. We go off-roading in it when possible and have even been caught in some really BAD weather(Ice roads, sleet, floods) and it has done Excellent!!! We've pulled people out of ditches and up ice hills, hauled horse trailers, boats and 4-wheelers and just use it as a family car and it does it all. All I really can say thats bad about it is that the blind spots are kinda touchy, even when backing up and that when I go to the store the groceries are all on top of each other and falling all over the place. BUT it does what its supposed to do, even though I do drive it hard... I trust my H3 150% and wouldnt take my 11 yr old or my 6 month old in it IF I didnt! The H2 I think is smaller inside also, we test drove it and my head was touching the top and my knees were in the seat when I sat in the back and my hubby was sitting in the front of me, I was kinda surprised! Im 5'11 and I need my space. The H3 does have plenty of room, for my head and for my legs! So for those who went out and bought it for just a run around car to bring the kids to school, go shopping at the mall and to impress your friends, you get what you get, your not using it for what it was meant for. Excellent off-road with a novice 4x4 driver doing severe dune driving in South Africa. Spacious interior and very comfortable drive on and off-road. Getting 6km/l and 9km/l in town and open road. No quality hassles in first three months of ownership.
All over people stop and come and talk;some locals even want photographs taken....read morehide

Fun SUV to drive but i would not buy again for the price. Local HUMMER dealer could care less about any of my concerns and they are the only dealer within a four hour drive.

Drives and feels like a tank! Excellent response in rough terrain! Simply the BEST!!

Back interior spacing kind of small.

Great vehicle, no wonder the US military has used them for so long!!!!! Very reliable under harsh weather conditions, no other vehicle comes close, not even the JEEP!!!!

Bought this SUV for my wife, because she loved it, I hated it from the jump start. Its not comfortable for me to drive, as a matter of fact I refuse to drive it. I would rather drive my F-150 it has a better ride, better power band, and gets better gas mileage. Most women that I have talked to enjoy it because they feel safe and it is a safe car to a certain point. We have had it least than a yr and my wife and son both have had backing accidents due to the bad blind spots. If I had to drive it everyday, it would have a new home. But I don't so its staying put till my wife gets tried of it....read morehide
