I have driven my Santa Fe just over 15 months now and have not had any problems. It handles very well and the fit and finish is perfect as far as I can tell. Fantastic SUV, you get so much more for the price. I've had mine for 4 months now, and I'm so glad with my choice. It rides like a dream, very smooth and quite.


My daughter loves the fact the back seats recline, and there is a lot of legroom for full size adults (unlike other SUV's I tested)

As far as gas mileage goes, on a trip from Vermont to Cape Cod, I got 26.8 miles per gallon. That is amazing considering the cargo area was packed with stuff for a 1-week vacation. Back and forth driving to work, I have never gotten below 20mpg with this SUV.

I have the AWD version, and it handles great. The EBS that this vehicle has really makes it stick to the road around the corners. The engine is very powerful, great acceleration when you need it. It has plenty of power to tow a utility trailer or a camper.

You can't go wrong with a car that gives you a 10-year warranty either. This is our new family car (and our other car is a 2004 Honda Accord) due all the room it has, and how comfortable it is. My wife feels very safe driving this and riding as a passenger.

The trunk under the back cargo hold is fantastic; you can put so much stuff there and keep it out of sight. I have a back cargo mat that is perfect when dropping off the recycling and all my sports equipment- it is really easy to clean up....read morehide

I have taken my Santa Fe everywhere it has served me well. I is way ahead in performance and reliability than my Durango. I have never felt so good driving a vehicle until I purchased my Santa Fe. The sound system in it is second to none. it handles better than any car I have driven. The features for the money is a bargain. I've had my Sante Fe for about 2 months and I just love it! The ride is nice and smooth, the seats are comfortable and it has all the features I was looking for. We just took it on a vacation and with the third row folded, we had more than enough room for all of our luggage. We've also tested out the third row being up and had two 6-7 year olds ride back there...worked great!

The only draw back is the mileage...it really doesn't do any better than the minivan I traded in...which surprises me. But it's definitely nicer, more comfortable and has a smoother ride than the minivan, so it's still a great upgrade!...read morehide

we took this car up to 12200+ feet in the Colorado mountains , We were caught in a sudden heavy storm ,thunder ,lighting, hail, blinding rain, 40 mile per hour winds with higher gusts. heating system and AC , windshield wiper were excellent

I bought one for the family and it is amazing the quality for the price.
The room inside is more than adequat. My wife keep saying that looking at it from the outside you could never tell it has 3 rows seats.
Very satisfy with it. With 4 kids it is what we needed.

Very suprized..Almost as good as the Hylander I traded and alot cheaper. Engine has enough power and smooth.. cabin very nice and quiet..Trans shifts smoothly..very nice stereo( better than Hylander's )with XM..Got all the goodies I wanted with all-wheel drive $27,000 ..Brakes a bit lacking and handling a tad jumpy compared to Hylander However , I thinkSante Fe is a better value. This review is of my 2006 Santa Fe. I bought this vehicle new. Had a problem with the throttle position sensor in 2007. This was fixed by outstanding service techs, under warranty. This year had a check engine light. Turned out to be the seal on the gas cap. Otherwise, this vehicle has been outstanding! Driven from Ohio to Florida towing a 12 ft long enclosed trailer. Never missed a beat! I also tow this trailer locally hauling my tools and materials for handyman business/ I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants all the stuff that other brands charge extra for. Monsoon am/fm/cd/cassette, air conditioning, four speed automatic transmission. Lots of cargo room, great gas mileage, good looks, plenty of power. I just can't say enough. Love it!!!!...read morehide
