Nice car for the working person. I drive 35k a year ,so I have already racked up 20k . Car handles well. Fit and finish what you would expect for a 25k car. It took quite a while to break in, but mileage still hoovers around 21mpg. This includes a majority of highway miles. One hiccup that was major. Accelerator sensor failed on a crowded highway at night. Total loss of power. The dealer was quick to fix, but I sense they have seen this before. All in all I have been happy with the purchase. Time will tell...read morehide

Test drove it, lacks road feel. I'd be concerned going around a bend. Most people that drive this car are age 55+. Dashboard is going for the Lexus look with Kmart materials. Leather seats are top notch, no stress for 5 years. Don't attempt to trade it in after 5 years, you'll be lucky to get 1/4 for what you paid for....read morehide

I have driven my Santa Fe just over 15 months now and have not had any problems. It handles very well and the fit and finish is perfect as far as I can tell. So far, I have only had two tanks of gas that I got more than 20 mpg, but I go on mostly short trips, many less than a mile. It has more than enough power, yet it is very quiet....read morehide

Very suprized..Almost as good as the Hylander I traded and alot cheaper. Engine has enough power and smooth.. cabin very nice and quiet..Trans shifts smoothly..very nice stereo( better than Hylander's )with XM..Got all the goodies I wanted with all-wheel drive $27,000 ..Brakes a bit lacking and handling a tad jumpy compared to Hylander However , I thinkSante Fe is a better value. Try it you'll be suprized. And the warranty can't be beat!.....read morehide

I have owned my 2008 santa fea for about a year, and it's been great overall I love it. I used to sell Hyundai's and I think they have come a long way. I would recommend their vehicles to anyone I know. That being said they don't hold their value... I only say this because if in a couple years you want to trade in for a newer Hyundai or another vehicle in general, good luck breaking even. I recently checked with a buddy of mine who still sells cars and I would be 6 grand in the hole if I wanted to trade in. If you buy this car make sure you pay it off, otherwise you'll pay in the long run....read morehide

I did a lot of research before deciding which vehicle to purchase, and the 2009 Santa Fe has everything I want. I waited for the 2009 as opposed to the 2008 because of the USB/Aux inputs for plugging in my mp3 player. These seem to be designed specifically for an iPod, but after some research and playing around, I was able to get it to work with my SanDisk Sansa. Any mp3 player will work with the Aux input, but using the USB will allow you to control your mp3 player from the steering wheel. You just have to make sure your songs are uploaded in MSC mode.
The base Limited includes heated seats, dual zone climate control, sunroof, upgraded audio system, and many other features that you would have to pay a lot extra for on other brands. I was able to fit a lot of stuff in the underfloor storage in the back, which is very nice. The Santa Fe is very easy to maneuver and park. I had no problems transitioning from my smaller compact Corolla to this midsize Santa Fe.
One of the only negatives so far is that the user manual indicates that there should be a Trip A and Trip B mileage counter, but I only have one. Also, the doors automatically lock once you get above a certain speed, but you can still open the door from the inside (there are child locks available to prevent this on the rear doors). The user manual also mentions this as if it is by design. I'm not sure what the benefit is of that. Everything else works beautifully!...read morehide

We bought Santa Fe limited AWD on June 2007. Since that the car runs 32000 miles. We are absolutely satisfied by it. Powerful, comfortable, and stylish. Inside quality unbeatable. Just compare Santa Fe with honda pilot or toyota highlander limited. Japanese car makers now face a really serious problem. We are going to buy another new car. 99% it will be Hyunday again....read morehide

OK.... test drove GM, Dodge, Ford and yes Accura, Lexus, Honda, Subaru and Toyota and the Santa Fe is simply the best! Incredible fit an finish, solid build, 3.3L engine is smooth and enough torque to pass a few cars without much effort. Interior finish is high end and easy on the eyes.
Takes me back to the early days of Honda and Toyota in North America and their respective evolution. Hyundai has arrived and no longer play second fiddle to the Japanese!
The little H now stands for Quality!...read morehide

I was driving a Hyundai Tucson, I drove it for 3 yrs and around 50000 miles I did not face a single problem, I was happy with it. I trade in my Tucson and went for Santa Fe for a bigger vehicle. I was surprised to see the features and MPG for such a big vehicle.
I test drove Toyota Highlander, Toyota RAV4 but the drive in Santa Fe is awesome and a great product for great price.
I got around 26 MPG on highway with 70 MPH and around 18-19 in the city. My car is limited with GPS and 3rd row seating. Dealer gave me a very good price of 25250 what else you need.
Very calm cabin, excellent control on the road with excellent safety features it took my heart. I am so happy with my purchase and I would 100% recommend Santa fe....read morehide
