Have had my 09 since Sept., couldn't be happier. Put about 9k on it already w/o any issues. This car rides like silk and for it's size, sips gas gracefully. Travel the interstates in the N.E. in the high 70's and still avg. 30+ mpg...easy. Trunk space? You can hear an echo in it! Little 4 cylinder? Small maybe, but has no problem cruisin or getting on the highway. Sweet sound system in this LE version, and we were so happy picking that model. All leather, sliding moon roof, heated seats w/ separate controls for environmentals. The trim is well put together, wood accents that rival much more expensive cars. Plenty of room for 4 and a great car to look at.

I have rented various Sonatas over the past couple years and have always been quite impressed with the design, features and comfort for the price. I was considering a Dodge Caliber or a Ford Focus then it came to me I should check out my favorite car to rent... The Hyundai Sonata! Sure enough, for about a grand more, I could step up to a whole lot more car. Its everything we want in a car with so much more class. My first tank yielded 29.5 MPG and that included some drive time around town, 6 hours of highway driving and an hour in 5 MPH stalled traffic. Nice ride, comfortable seats, quick pickup. good gas milage on highway. Do not go over speed limit on curves. Although it keeps to the road it feels a little like it is sliding.

I bought the GLS 4 cylinder with the power package. Features with this package included power seats, audio controls on steering wheel, heated outside mirrors, and automatic headlights. After testing and researching the Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Nissan Altima, I decided on the Sonata because with the $3,000.00 rebate the cost to get comparable options on the other cars would have cost me about $4,000.00 to $7,000.00 more. As it turns out the Sonata delivers a comparable ride to the other cars I reviewed. I love the XM radio which is standard, as well as the ipod compatiblity. The car comes standard with electronic stability control which is not available on any of the other cars I tested. The automatic transmission has a shiftronic feature which allows for manual shifting if you desire. I opted for the gray interior with the slate blue exterior which looks great. The interior only comes in either a light tan or gray. The tan looks great but is very light and in my opinion would get dirty very fast. This car is absolutely comparable to other cars that cost several thousand dollars more. One minor annoying issue so far is that due to the design of the area of the dashboard under the ignition area, the keys tend to rattle against that area of the dashboard. All in all I am more than satisfied with this purchase. The warranty is much longer than Ford, Toyota, Honda or Nissan. I would recommend this car to anyone searching for a mid sized sedan at an affordable price....read morehide

bought the car new 09 GLS with the popular package for $15325. Great value, smooth driving. The best thing thing is the usb connector, hours of music in the flash drive. This is the second sonata we bought for the family. 1 year for the first one without any problem, just 2 oil changes. This is a great car for the money. Similar driving exp. to the fusion and malibu but much better driving exp. than with the altima and accord. As for teh price, it beat all of the competitions....read morehide

This is my second Sonata, I also own a 2007 and both cars have been
performing just great. The refinements that were made on the 2009 model are a great improvement. Both cars have been a joy to drive. The seating is very comfortable, even on long trips. Toyota and Honda do
not offer the value that Hyundai does. The trunk space is very big. One only needs to take a test drive in one of these great cars to be convinced....read morehide

I bought a 2004 shortly after they were released. I now have 109,386 miles on the car and it is as good as it was when I bought it. Still gives me 19.8 city driving and 22.8 on the road at 70mph. I had two warranty problems and the dealer took care of them with no problems at all. Prior to owning this car I drove a Honda Accord for 147,000 miles and this is just as good a car. My wife and I are thinking about treating ourselves to a new Sonata for our Christmas present....read morehide
