I have a 2007 Compass 4X4 Limited with the AutoStick option. This car is clearly the class of the crossovers available today. I have compared it to almost every other crossover and there is no comparison. Lower price, better gas mileage, and better built. The only car coming close is the Honda CRV. But the CRV is uncomfortable to sit in, doesn't get quite as good gas mileage, the engine isn't as responsive and is a lot louder. Some folks have complained the Compass has loud road noise. Compared to what? I tried most of the 4X4 crossovers and all of them are noisier than the Compass. None of them have as good a ride. If you compare it to a station wagon or a luxury vehicle, than it probably is louder and rougher - but this is a reasonably quite crossover and clearly the best in its class. I suggest that you drive the crossovers and make a careful comparison of cost, gas mileage, capacity, etc. and you will discover this is the best crossover on the market today.
