I am very happy with my Liberty. It does everything I expected it to do. The engine has planty of power. Fuel milage is decent. Overall I am very pleased with this vehicle

My wife has a 2003 Liberty and it has been great for her but this 2009 is Awesome! more room, smoother ride, better ergonomics! Would recomend this car to everyone!

I love my jeep and I am a first time buyer but we will be looking for a new vehicle come summer. I get 13 mpg and I NEVER drive anywhere. The trunk is a little small.

I absolutely HATE the skyroof. No matter what people say you WILL hear some sound! You will really hear it on a windy day.

Pros

Can turn on a dime. Sky Slyder is awesome. Perfect for the outdoors or the city.

A little noisy but with the radio on you don't notice it.

I've had it since December and the 4WD handeled like a dream in the snow. It was great to drive at 55 during a New England snow storm while everybody else was doing 30. I haven't got a chance to tow anything yet but plan on it this summer.

Pros

Smooth on offroad conditions as well as tar. Easy to drive, good ground clearance.

Cons

Wrong tires for 4 x 4 driving conditions in Africa.

I purchased a 2009 model Jeep Cherokee Crd Ltd 2.8 auto-tiptronic diesel in January this year, imported directly from Toledo, Ohio.
This vehicle is branded the Liberty in the States.
This is my second Jeep Cherokee and what a pleasure to drive. The only two negative things are the passenger seat electronic slide mechanism, which does not have a tilt function/mode as was the case in the 2004 version? Another negative is the positioning of the emergency flash situated at the bottom of center consol - not ergonomically pleasing as far as reach is concerned. Jeep should focus on the customer; you the driver and not simply make changes that detract from previous jeep versions. I requested the 18" wheels, however the traction w.r.t the tires leaves much to be desired. I prefer Good Year Wranglers as opposed to the Firestone 205 Eagle. By all means improve, upgrade, but not for the wrong reasons!...read morehide

We traded in our 08 ford Escape for the 09 Liberty. While both are 4x4 the jeep is a true 4x4, Rear drive with locking front driver control. Its also has more low end torque. The styling is trade mark jeep. Its a small SUV but its tough looking. Opt for the Sky slider its like a convertible top that slides both front and back. Don't waste your money getting the limited version. There are plenty of options on the sport so save your money and use it to have fun out there. My boyfriend drives an SRT8 Grand Cherokee and he says mine is more fun for half the price....read morehide

I absolutely love this car I always have since the debut in 02 I was a little too young to drive then it has always been my dream to own a Jeep I choose the Liberty because of the styling, the comfort, the options, it is to me the perfect SUV ever!! The 3.7 liter V6 is powerful and doesent get bad fuel econy either considering what it is!! I absouleely LOVE the Jeep Liberty . If you keep in mind that you bought a 4 WD SUV you won't be disappointed by anything.

My Liberty now has 9,000 miles and except for scheduled maintenance and an annoying gremlin in one of the electric windows the car is a stranger to the local dealer.

What do you want it to do ? Haul a 42 "" TV in the cargo bay, maybe an Xmas tree or canoe on the roof rack? How about four adults having real space and comfort on longish trips? In 2 WD drive the car is incredibly responsive and has a turning radius less than my Labrador trying to take a nap.

Off Road is not my forte but I am pretty sure that Jeep built this car for off road and then civilized it a bit to fit the highway. If you would rather have one of the limos that someone added 4 WD to you are gonna hate yourself at speed bumps....read morehide
