I may be a little biased because I moved from an almost $40k fully loaded Windstar to this Sedona. Integrity has been a big issue. The door grab handles constantly have to be tightened, The armrests on 3 of 4 chairs have to be repaired, It is already developing squeaks and other noises on the interior. Not very comfortable for a real long trip. Kia requires a lot of maintenance which makes keeping it under warranty expensive. Stereo is complete garbage even cranked up you can barely hear it when the window is down. Lot's of road noise even with windows up. Ok Ok enough of the bashing.........This van is FAST! I read somewhere the 0-60mph is 7.9 seconds and I believe it. It really took some getting used to. No problem passing any other car. There is ton's of space and I like the fact that the rear seats stow away. Middle seats don't have to be taken out they just fold behind the front ones. I bought this van for the warranty and have yet to use it. almost 30k and no problems....read morehide

We had the car for a few years now. I wanted to wait before writing a review. Although I like the warranty, there are of course certain maintenance demands the car needs to keep it in warranty which makes it expensive. The car rides well but is sluggish on the take-off. We've taken it on several trips and my son who sits on the very back bench complains that the seat is not comfortable. The other seats which are reclining chairs are very comfortable, I think my little boy is chair envy. The only other problem I can think of is that I get shocked every time I get out of the car. I open the door, bring my leg out to step down and right when I place my hand on the door to complete my exit my hand gets shocked on the door. I hate that and I've come to expect it every time I step out. I love the room inside the van and the storage and the extra storage we get folding the back seat. I've used that several times already. I see I'm writing a review for the 2009 Sedona. The car we purchased was a 2006. Is there any difference?...read morehide

This van is in South America. I bought it new in 2007. Only 2 problems that were repaired under warranty, leaky air conditioning evaporator and drivers electric door lock. Paid $38,000 becuase of high import tariffs. My first choice was a Honda Odysy but at $50,000 + the Kia was a bargain. Kia should bring the diesel model to the states....read morehide

We bought this van new in August of 2008. We only have ~17,000 miles so far but we couldn't be happier. We have five children between the two of us and we've been on two long trips (12+ hours one way) with little to nothing to gripe about. Engine performance, ride, handling, comfort, and assembly quality are on par with the best in the market. We would have preferred a Honda Odyssey but the base model was $1,000 more than our mid level Sedona making this a value we couldn't pass up. We plan to keep it for a long time and the 10-year/100k-mile warranty will ensure that happens with little out-of-pocket. Please keep in mind, Hyundai bought Kia way back in 1998 and has since overseen the rebuilding of the brand using their own processes. In fact, the Kia Sedona and Hyundai Entourage are the SAME VAN, they're just trimmed a bit different (a la Ford and Mercury). The fact that the [now] well respected Hyundai saw fit to place their namesake on the Sedona is proof positive Kia is now a big player in the industry. And their struggle to get here is no different than Hyundai's was (remember the Excel???)...read morehide

My wife and I bought a 2006, even though she didn't want a "mini-van" she loved the style of it. 2 and half years later, she still loves it and wouldn't even think of trading it in. Can't understand why they don't hold their value, it's a wonderful vehicle.

My wife and I rented this minivan for a trip from Peoria, AZ to Yellowstone. We had four people and a fully loaded back space. It rode very well. Although I have never had a minivan, I was surprised by the gas mileage of 25-27 MPG driving to, from, and around Yellowstone. It was not very good at passing slower vehicles, but it is a minivan and not a performance car. I think I now understand why some people like minivans and now I do to. I really do not know about the reliability....read morehide
