I bought this Sorento new in 2005. Price is great compared to other Suv's with the same features.Looks and runs great! After about 80,000 miles had some fluke thing happen to the engine and it had to be replaced, but my warranty paid all of it! A bolt came loose causing lots of damage.Kia service dept said they havent seen this happen before. I have a new motor after driving 80,000 miles and an extra warranty. Havent had any trouble since. If you buy a sorento buy the extra warranty that cost around $900.Its worth it and they do honor it! Still love my Sorento and would buy another.The salespeople do not hound you to death when you come in unlike other dealerships....read morehide

I personally know 3 other people who had purchased Sorentos in the past-I KNEW I wanted one and had never driven one before-always been a passenger. I never even test drove one until I went to sign the paperwork at the dealership and they were having my car delivered from Hickory, NC. I bought my car new from Paramount Kia in Asheville, NC. My salesperson, Aaron, worked hard to get me a deal I could afford. I'm a single mother working full time in real estate so a good car is a MUST and they understood that. LOVE the roomy interior, comfortable, lumbar support i driver seat, rear windshield wiper, large cargo area, fold down arm rest and separate drink holders in the back, great stero sound, high enough to travel almost anywhere, great on gravel roads also. The 5-speed auto transmission makes it even more fun to drive; change gears just like 5-speed but no clutch. As you can tell, I LOVE the car-it's EXACTLY what I wnated in every way-except the milage but again, it's worth it to me to have what I want and never thought I could afford. They have a 5-star crash rating, lots of airbags and they weight over 4000 lbs so they weigh about 1000 pounds more than most small cars and standard size trucks, which is great for steep gravel roads, rain and snow. I had a Chevy Malibu with leather and sun roof, etc. Nice car and I enjoyed it, but I hydroplaned and "slid" a lot on water puddles and the wheels would spin and the car would bounce on steep gravel roads-NOT ANY MORE. I haven't had any of these things happen a single time. BUY ONE-YOU'LL LOVE IT!! My one friend is in her 3rd Sorento now. My dad even likes riding in it and he's a big man and a truck only person-what does that tell you?? It's a much better car than the Sportage-they are too light and not as roomy either. Me and my daughter ar 5'9' tall and we are comfortable riding in the back seat because it's so roomy. Plus, the seats lay down completely flat to haul big things and the window in the back truck lid opens separate too. Don't have to open the whole thing....read morehide

I bought my 2006 Kia used in 2009 with 15,000 on it so it felt brand new. So far, I love it. It looks great - just as pretty as the Lexus and as stylish as anything on the road. My only complaint is the transmission is a little stiff in shifting. If I have to step on it to get on the freeway, sometimes is jumps and is a little rough. I'll be taking it in to Kia to have them look at it as long as it's under warranty but I'm starting to thing it's just a characteristic of the car. They all have "things". Other than that, I absolutely love it..... has all the bells and whistles Honda and Lexus has only at a fraction of the price....read morehide

I looked at many SUVs in this class and found the Sorento to be a great vehicle for the price. I never considered a Kia until I broke down and looked at this vehicle. I drove the Sorento and was impressed. The interior was really nice and fit and finish was impressive. The vehicle has good power with the 3.3L V6. If you are looking at SUVs in this class, at least take a look at the Sorento. I think you will find it to be a great price on a nice vehicle....read morehide

I purchased my KIA Sorento in 2006 and have excellent service with it. The day I bought it idrove it 425 miles on business and to this day I don't hestitate one minute about driving it any where I need to go. It has been great as far as driving stability in all kinds of weather even ice and snow. I recommend this vehicle to anyone looking to buy a small SUV....read morehide
