Those people that didn't get in it can't comprehend what reward they would be justified with. The feeling is indescribable! The driver and car become one. Mine has sport package as well as lux. package. Radio actually turns itself up when engine gets loud. Have never had any problems with my car. Rives performance of corvettes, porches, and even some Aston Martans! Fools people into thinking costs $100,00 more than it actually is. Buy this car and never regret it! Excellent handling and acceleration. Perfect for hilly and winding roads. Killer european looks.

Cons

Battery is very small (for weight purposes) and you must start the engine at least once a week

Forget what you hear about "getting in" or "getting out" problems, nothing feels like a Lotus once you are in. This is a car for those you love Formula 1 (acceleration, ability to make sharp turns at high speeds) and not Nascar (muscle cars).

No other vehicle in the United State quite compares with the Elise. This is as close to owning a track race car for the street as possible. Performance is on par with cars that cost over $100,000 more. The Elise is very quick on a straight away, and this mid-engine car handles corners unlike any vehicle most people have ever driven. Elise owners all look forward to driving anywhere anytime.

There are few experiences like driving an Elise with the top down on a beautiful summer day. Of all the mundanities in life, driving can become a unwelcome chore. But this car makes going anywhere an adventure. It's a rare car to see in person - much more so than even a Ferrari or a Lamborghini in Chicago. People are compelled to the Elise in a different way than most other sports cars. An Elise makes a strong impression on everyone who sees it, overwhelmingly positive.

The upside is supercar performance, an exotic look, and tons of fun at a relatively affordable price. And it gets good gas mileage too. The downside is the Elise is basically a British race car. It has very few of the creature comforts of other luxury convertibles. The interior is spartan and devoid of many common bells and whistles. The seats are slender and rigid, meant to contour the passengers' bodies. Larger people usually find the vehicle uncomfortable. Getting in and out requires a method, especially when the top is on.

The engine sits right behind the passengers' head, so the interior is fairly loud. The car is very low to the ground, and the road can be felt by the passengers at all times - which is great on a smooth surface, but less so when hitting bumps and potholes. There are few mechanics and bodyshops that will service the Elise, and service costs are usually expensive. And it should go without saying that the Elise does not handle snow or other inclement weather well at all.

This car is very fun and makes driving exhilarating. It is the perfect roadster for beautiful sunny days. And the Elise is always a conversation piece wherever it goes. For the price, performance and fun, the Elise is simply unmatched....read morehide

I like this car because it is efficient and it rides smoothly. It is great to pick up friends in and it is very comfortable inside to the point where I feel liek driving it every single day for the rest of my life byotch.
