I previously had the C230 Kompressor and the C350 is more than what I had expected. I got the Ipod integration and having the access to your music makes a huge difference. The new controls for the entertainment system makes changing from CD to Radio to Satellite so much easier.
My only complaint is the size of the trunk and center console. Both are much smaller. I know you don't get this car for those items but when you transition to the newer model and you move stuff and the space is no longer there it can be a problem. For example golf clubs don't fit as easily as before.

I am a gearhead tyope of person. I just sold my 2003 Corvette (out of style). I have a upgraded to the max Mustang GT, a rare Dodge daytona Shelby (300HP) and a Motorcycle (Honda CBR1000F)... So basically I like serious power and performance. My wife isn't a good driver and she is even afraid of driving on the highway (because its too fast).
This car was the best of both worlds because this car adapts itself to your driving for example. When her special key is used, the car is a big sluggish and the comfort ride clicks on and it gets fantastic gas milage. It hesitates from the start and it rides smooth and comfortable like a Mercedes should. But, when I use my special key to use the car, it changes into more of a performance car, the gas milage is worse but the timing and the fuel curves adjust to my faster than normal driving and it stays in sport mode.
I am 100% happy with the car plus th toys like the navigation is really easy to use(easier than the TomTom that we had bought. My wife uses it all the time and it is really smart. Worth every penny.
I feel like I have a 4 door corvette with an auto trasnmission. she feels like she is driving a really safe car.
I am not a easy person to impress. get the sport model!!!
The extra money for the C350 is worth it. Driver the c300 first and then drive the C350...You will want the 7 speed tranny and the more power......read morehide

I have now owned this car for 3 months and during my first 2 months I was so happy and satisfied I felt this was the car I would keep forever. However, I can honestly say I am now totally disappointed.
The first 2 months were relatively trouble free, other than the key fob deprograming itself. Starting last month, the problems began. The COMMAND navigation screen no longer retracts and I have to bring the car down this week.
I noticed a starange noise located in the front under heavy braking. The dealer inspected them three weeks ago and found the brake rotors needed resurfacing. I requested them to be replaced and they graciously complied although they are NOT covered under the warranty.
A problem we find reoccuring is the need to add additional oil. So far in 5k miles, its needed 4 quarts of oil which the dealer has added free of charge. The dealer had to add 3 quarts of oil.
The interior is roomy and comfortable but I find the plastics to be very cheap and not well assembled for this price.
Gas consumption is a let down for a small engine. I average 14 MPG or less around town. On the highway it can get 23 MPG but only if you take it easy and follow close behind a car in front of you.
I am not impressed after owning for such a short time. Hopefully these problems will go away. If not I may have to get something that won't leave me stranded. Good luck if you make the same mistake I did....read morehide

2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300 Sport Sedan has met all of my expectations for a Sport Sedan. The performance and look of this car is terrific. I took delivery of my car last week and I love driving it. I have a C300 Sport with the 6 speed manual transmission, Premium 1 & Multimedia packages, IPod Integration Kit, and the 18â AMG wheels.
Between voice command, buttons on the center dash, buttons on the steering wheel and a mouse dial that can be used to navigate the center screen â there are about 4 different ways to access and control the navigation system, radio, video, and CD/DVD player. I will take time over the weekend to play with all of the features.
I have driven many cars of different make, model and price range. The 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300 Sport Sedan easily wins in value and prestige for the money.
No need to pay the extra for a leather interior. The standard MB Tex is good enough and does not reduce the attractiveness of this car.
My only wish is that the 2009 model came with power retractable side mirrors. This was an option in 2008. You need to retract the mirrors by hand for the 2009. Not a big inconvenience but I had this feature on other cars and used it for garage parking and parking lots....read morehide

Had my C 300 sport with manual transmission for 3 weeks and really happy! The looks are great inside and out. Nice solid ride, yet swift and does not feel heavy. The manual shifter is smooth and precise. Acceleration is great overall, except the 1st gear is slightly sluggish unless you really floor the gas pedal. Small turning radius, nice compared to front wheel drive cars I used to have. Outstanding Command system, very intuitive and beautifully displayed. The dashboard controls are very easy to use. The sound system is great (I got the Harman Kardon one, not the basic one). The seats are really comfortable, feel like you have always been sitting in them. The rear seat leg room is considered on the small side, but I basically don't use it and don't fancy large cars anyways. The trunk is on the small side, but then again, this is not a priority for me....read morehide
