Just purchased a 2009 C300 Sport with Premiun 1 pkg. Test drove 328i w/o sport pkg, VW CC, VW GLI and Acura TSX. The C300 Sport suspension was fun to drive and had a better feel than any of the others I drove. The engine is quiet at cruising speeds, the transmission is very smooth and the driver's view is unobstructed. I also found the ergonomics to be very good, similar to what I expect from Acura and Audi.
I strongly suggest you test drive this car before buying any of the other near luxury sedans. You will be pleasantly surprised and the 2009's are being offered at invoice or less....read morehide

I ordered s 6speed manual and this is really one sweet car to drive. I have over 15,000 and have not had a single problem. At first I wondered if the 3 liter would have enough power but I can tell you it is really quick and I have never gotten less than 25mpg although I do quite a bit of freeway driving. It gets well over 30mpg on the hiway. The manual transmission is really nice. I usually purchase a new car every 2 years and have driven some really nice cars but I must say that overall this is the best car I have ever owned. It is so satisfying to drive and it fits me like a glove....read morehide

Have had some troubles from the get go...car was stalling, they said it was the rpm was too low,.sometimes it hesitates when pulling out. The media package is a must...it is great...I traded down from a BMW 530i...just because of down sizing...I think you get alot of vehicle for your money and it looks great...it is a keeper (for now)...read morehide

We've had this car since January 2009 and love it. It's got very tight handling, rides quiet as a bank vault and has plenty of power. There is a cruise control stalk on the right of the steering column that is awkwardly placed where a turn signal stalk should be, which is a little confusing. The downshift at cruising speed takes a second or two to kick in....read morehide

I've owned 13 MB's starting in 1977. These include 3 SL's (including the current version), 2 CLK's (2004 and 2006 models), an '03 E320 (the worse of all), an '05 E55, an 06 C280 and my current C300 Sport - which after 1 year and 16,000 miles has only been to the dealer for 13k routine service. Performace with the 7-speed automatic has been outstanding (clocked +31 MPG's on 2 trips from SF to LA, with brisk acceleration). It's equipped with Premium 2 Package (xenon headlights, heated seats, blue tooth, folding rear seats, HK sound, etc.) and the Communcation Package includes Hard Drive Satellite Navigation, and the best hands-free communication communications package - period!!!
May add this car replaced my 2006 C280 which was rear-ended while stopped by a 1991 Ford Explorer SUV at 45 MPH. It was totalled, and I walked away without a scratch, no seat belt rash, no whip lash (the headreast deploy forward to catch your head), I mean nothing. Like it never even happened. Thank you Mercedes-Benz.
Dealer service (RAB Motors, San Rafael, CA) has been outstanding with all the Mercedes I've owned....read morehide

I bought my Mecedes in November. Overall the price was good. With the economy being so poor, i was able to demand $5000 off the sticker price. This is my first mercedes, Im upgrading from a toyota. The mileage on the car is poor; avg 18 miles on highway. I am impressed with the body of the car. Very slick innovative design. i always wanted a black MB; really hard to keep clean! Best advice i can give "GET THE TIRE WARRANTY!" I've already been to the dealership twice for my tires......read morehide
