Overall a good car that is quick and agile, but has too much body roll and is dated for 2007/09. Expect to lose 50% of value of the car within one year. Purchased as a first car for a male teenager, maybe it is an old woman's car? Brakes (pads) on all mercedes tend to whistle no matter how slowly you drive the car, this is an annoyance and major issue that should be rectified. Mercedes should try brembros which are much better; as standard. Cabin quietness also deteriorates quickly with age. Seats feel cheap and clunky and are a tad uncomfortable. Extremely pricy car, all options should be standard like lexus for the outrageous price you pay. Purchased new in 2007 for 64k plus about 2k for lighted doorsills and tax. Lighted doorsills are a must have! I mean it! but by 2008, my car worth about 30 in a trade in. Great car if you buy used, paddle shifters are fun but car is sometimes indecisive, expresses lag too often, and downshifts are too rough. Audio quality, build materials, interior quality, and body integrity could be better. Think of the hayday of mercedes pre-1990's. It is like comparing a mercedes to an acura with recognition to price! great car to buy used, well worth every penny of the 30k you could spend. Convertible softtops on the CLK and others can become dirty, smelly, and moldy, if you dont have to time to devote the utmost care to them constantly, so watch out. but, has nice styling. Steering wheel on coupe is larger and is too big.
Great 2002 breakthrough car in its hayday, but will the new E coupe be enough to channel BMW, Audi, and Lexus? Performance is still not up to par with other models no matter how much the new interiors surpass them. Makes you wonder for the price since deals are non-existent on the new high-demand E coupe. In essence, get the while they are hot!...read morehide

We love this car. Great ride, Great looks, Good power. Lots of options (love the Ipod connection). Drives great on freeway as well as some trips we've taken along the coast on smaller, curvy roads...

My 2008 CLK 350 Cabriolet is a fantastic car. Previously owned a 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet and I find the Benz more enjoyable to drive and certainly more comfortable. The power is more than adequate and the car is beautifully engineered.

2008 Car drives like a dream. Wood steering wheel a must. Ipod, satellite radio and nav very fun. Had it for 20 months after buying new. No problems except noisy from rotors on downhill starts.
Great fuel economy -- even with regular gas, seems to run fine. average 16-18 city. 24-28 highway....read morehide

This car has good MPG and comfort, enginer power is not bad, but not worth the money, too much wind noise on highway and the AC is almost running at full blow everytime, you can hardly talk in the car on highway drivng

good car overall with a few minor issues.. trunk light fell out three times due to sun exposure and or bumpy roads. I love the ride on the highway and its great on gas!!!..just wish the dash was more decked out for the price i paid..and that plastic part that pushes the seat belt out should be of a stronger material..not as luxury filled as people would think of when they think of a mercedes benz....read morehide

Far and away, the very best Mercedes Benz I've owned which include 3 SL's. This dream car has room for 4 adults and can accelerate 0-80 faster than a fighter jet. With 21,000 miles and nothing more than routine service, I would have to say it's a tipical Mercedes! Do yourself a favor, test drive this luxury vehicle on a nice day, with the top down, then again with the top up in city traffic. You won't believe how quiet it is....read morehide

a 2007 CLK model has been in shop x4 over 13 months, with different problem each time, including transmission break down, causing nead accident. A piece of junk. MB customer service says these are "normal". what a low standard.
