unless if you are like Dominic who purchased G35 and returned it 90 days later. I guess its not about that G35 is a less of a performer; it is more about owning Mercedez to impress the eletes of our society and if you don't have the Europian car, you are not welcome to that group of eletes. Mercedez is a good car if you don't bring the social class difference in to consideration but the japanese cars in a same price rane are much superior in quality now a days and compareable in look....read morehide

Its a great car for around town or cross country. The ride is not the same comfort as our S class. But it is adequate for a car this size. Great handling and performance. Braking is superb.

I had a new 2006 E350 4-Matic for one week before trading it in for a different model (S-350).
This was the worst car I ever had. In the shop twice in the first 6 days.
In the last five years, Mercedes Benz evidently has made no effort at all to address this horrible reliability issue. A friend who works on Mercedes told me they probably were pushing the new software system into production way too fast in Stutgart, without ever working out the reliability qlitches.
The public needs to literally boycott the E class until MB management finally acknowledges them!...read morehide

This is a staggering car, mainly because it has a 6.2 liter V8 with 507 bhp. The comfort is superb and is as reliable as a wood burning stove. But, the downside is, it is quite costly. If you are looking for the ultimate Mercedes luxury car, then the s-class would be your choice for around the same price as this brutal E63. I have had the car less than 6 weeks. It has been in the shop 5 times for two major problems 1) The telenavigation system shuts down for no reason Dealor can not find problem 2) More serious is the car will shift down into 2nd gear abruptly and will stay stuck in second gear until car is restarted.

I think this is a cross class problem with poor electronics and a bad on board computer. Dealor has been less than helpful (Okemos Michigan) I have contacted a lemon lawyer and want to get rid of this piece of junk!!!...read morehide

I bought this car for my wife but I ended up driving it more than her :) I love the smooth ride and safe feeling when I am (and my family) in it. Yes, there are some minor electronic problems but the customer service is poor (better than BMW though) If you own a Porsche, you will know what GREAT customer service is all about. When you have an issue with your car, the last thing you want is some service technician giving you a hard time, especially when your car is under warranty. That aside, if you are choosing amongst a Lexus, a BMW or a M-B, pick the Mercedes E Class and you and your family will love to appreciate it because it is a MERCEDES :)...read morehide

I bought 2007 E350 Luxury Edition with Sport Package. The car I bought was lemon @ 10k MILES CAR IS FALLING APART. Sold the car at 18K miles got only 30K for it, after fixing all the problem. I bought the car with the sport package. Have owned a number of MB cars over the years and this is the best so far. Handling is tight and crisp - like a BMW but without the hard edges. The 268HP V6 is very capable - can't imagine why anyone would need the V8 or the AMG - they must be brutishly powerful.

Build quality is better than ever. The car has a very solid feel - not a single flaw detected in any feature or accessory. Everything works as advertised and inspires confidence.

The controls are very well laid out and do not take long to learn. Adding a Bluetooth enabled cell phone took about 5 minutes.

Function and quality are clearly the highest priorities, not fashion or flash. Still, the car is loaded with advanced features....read morehide
