We just picked up a pepper white clubman with a black roof. This is our second MINI. Our first is a base Cooper hardtop 2007. There is a distinct difference between the two. The clubman has far more usable space and a real backseat with easy entrance. So far, no complaints from rear passengers unlike with the standard cooper. The seats come down to form a flat floor. We have two big dogs and they are very comfortable back there. Ride is much improved with the longer wheel base of the clubman. There is much less bouncing around with the MINI handling still intact. This may have a lot to do with our clubman being fitted with regular tires instead of run flats. We have been averaging 35 mpg, but the car is still new. We looked at the VW Jetta Sport wagon. There is no comparison. The clubman is quicker, sharper, and flatly better looking. Wife was sold on the clubman after her first test drive. Cannot beat the service warranty that comes with the car...even includes brakes and window wipers for three years. Have not had any problems with our 2007 cooper or the dealership experience.
