I own a 2008 Clubman S and I love it. It is quick and very responsive and an absolute gas to drive. It is very comfortable for me as a driver.

The wipers, radio, window, and turn signal controls are not intuitively accessible for a driver new to the car, but the owner will quickly get past this. Loaning the car to someone would require some explanations.

I like the split rear "barn doors" compared to the hatchback type doors. To me it's much faster and easier to access rather than raising and stooping under a hatch.

I get about 32 mpg mixed highway and local.

I'm questioning the run-flat tires. They're expensive and got noisy at 24K. I found with the 'S' that a non-run flat tire won't fit in the boot (ask about this), so switching to non-run flats is not a clean option - Bummer - so consider this before you choose your model and options.

I'm love the hands-free bluetooth phone option and the cold weather package.

The timing chain ticking noise concerned me, but the engine sounds nice and throaty when accelerating.

Overall, I'm very happy with the MINI and it's perfect for me. It's personal taste on this unique type of car, but I love it.
