I have had mine for just over a year and still love it. Great handling, great milage and a truly fun car to drive. Once you get used to the layout the controls are easy to read and well planned out. It also fits an amazing amount of cargo. I have taken it on long vacation trips with my son and have always had room for everything - including our dog, a collie-greyhound mix. The only mechanical complaint I have had is with the tire pressure sensor which acts up in cold weather.
And of course you can't beat the great retro looks....read morehide

This thing makes may giddy like a school girl. I really wanted the turbo, but it wasn't available on the style we picked. The base still has tremendous pickup and speed - 65 mph in less than 6 seconds! Controls are really different, but everything is centralized. Once you get familiar with the concept the car rocks. Many ways to personalize the car. We have a checkerboard sunroof and blinkers, and getting the side mirrors changed to checkers as well. iPOD integration is great. Get the Convenience Package at a minimum (remote key lock and start) and go for the Premimum Package (Bluetooth, iPOD Integration). Car is sweet!
We went from a Pathinder to this. Just needed some cargo space to move the dogs for the most part.
Ask for floormats in the deal!

Putting the FUN back into Driving! Believe it or not, but I needed a new weekend toy to replace my 2000 Jeep Wrangler and have been shopping for a 2 door coupe with style, sporty handling and some panache and crossed shopped the Cooper Clubman with a 2010 Camaro and a 2010 Mustang. The Clubman won out byb a long shot.....fuel economy, true retro looks and style, value and the clincher was the resale value..these things hold up to 25% more value after 2-3 years than anything else on the road. The other 2 vehicles were cool and fun to drive, but quality and availabilty and price to value ratio were off.....the Clubman is fun to drive, and very comfortable for my size(6'2). The brakes are phenomenal. I got the base version(best value, espicially if you do not opt for the run flat-ride much stiffer) but had the dealer throw in an armrest(a must have) and some sport stripes on hood and bonnet. This is a great car so far and the ability to personalize it along the way is an added bonus. Test drive one, and you'll see, plus the salesman are very knowledgable and put you at ease. Great financing choices from BMW. Dallas Mini Rocks!...read morehide

We just picked up a pepper white clubman with a black roof. This is our second MINI. Our first is a base Cooper hardtop 2007. There is a distinct difference between the two. The clubman has far more usable space and a real backseat with easy entrance. So far, no complaints from rear passengers unlike with the standard cooper. The seats come down to form a flat floor. We have two big dogs and they are very comfortable back there. Ride is much improved with the longer wheel base of the clubman. There is much less bouncing around with the MINI handling still intact. This may have a lot to do with our clubman being fitted with regular tires instead of run flats. We have been averaging 35 mpg, but the car is still new. We looked at the VW Jetta Sport wagon. There is no comparison. The clubman is quicker, sharper, and flatly better looking. Wife was sold on the clubman after her first test drive. Cannot beat the service warranty that comes with the car...even includes brakes and window wipers for three years. Have not had any problems with our 2007 cooper or the dealership experience....read morehide

I've had 3 MINI's before this one. I loved all of them, but needed something slightly bigger. This thing ROCKS! It handles like it's on rails, I get compliments everywhere I go. I'm not into big cars, so this one is great. I have the Cooper (not the S) and it's way quicker than my friends civic. I love it. I can easily get 40 miles to the gallon (they claim it will get 37)...read morehide

I have the regular Clubman, I cannot be more satisfied. The car can be customized (where else you can design your car specific for you taste. I see it this way... the mini is the cheapest and most fuel economy BMW you can buy... I had BMW before but i did not like the expense and the fuel economy so i change to a mini..the Clubman is great, there is no bumpy ride or hard ride since the reason is that all sport cars are the same. I encourage you to get into a Porsche or Lamborghini or a corvette, believe me I have done it an the mini feels more confortable..the car has his charm, the quality of materials, parts its outstanding the same you get from BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes.. its that good. The car have outstanding technology, love the radio, the Bluetooth phone, the car entrance,
Test one, then test a super expensive sport car and i am sure you will be back for the mini... i did it.. but better did you know that at the end you will save money not only on gas, the resale value its higher than any Bmw, Mercedes, jaguar, etc... not kidding check online yourselves... do the math check the kelly book and you will see who is the king of residual value ... yes it is the mini all worth it...
I have a clubman, astro black, premium package, comfort package (must have it), flat tires, piano black, manual transmission, OUTStaningâ¦. Almost 3 to 4 people ask me for it everyweekâ¦....read morehide

Test drove one and it was great. I like the peppy handling although the 4-cylinder engine needed more HP. Get the turbo version if you can afford it. Fit and finish are very high but I can't believe they don't have oil temperature and engine temperature gauges. That's not optional information considering my last two cars had overheating and battery problems. What next? No fuel gauge?
The back seats have more leg room so adults can now ride back there. They fold down so trunk space is quite large. The Club door makes it tons easier to get out of the car. Say what you will about the rear doors. I find them convenient as I won't hit my head on an overhead glass door. You must get the sunroof tinted if you get the option. The sliding panel is a net. It won't block sunlight so the cockpit gets VERY hot in the Texas sun.
Avoid CVT, it's so complex that many owners have wound up with $2,000 in repair costs on average! BMW is probably going back to a standard automatic next year.
Worth it if you have a MINI and the baby is getting too big for it. It hasn't lost the charm and peppy handling that MINI is famous for....read morehide
