A work of art. Takes curves as though it is on tracks. Decent gas mileage. Tight handling. Very solidly built -- a few weeks ago, I was hit by a red-light-runner, and barely felt the impact -- I first knew what had happened as I saw parts of my Eclipse flying through the air in front of me. Repairs are reasonably priced. I have the manual tranny -- easy, smooth shifting. Sweet premium sound system. Comfortable front seats. Some complain about blind spots; to me, this is not so much of a problem if you adjust the mirrors carefully. This is my second Eclipse; the first one went 13 years. If you want jack rabbit starts and a speed demon, though, get the GT.
